It doesn't matter if you are inside or outside the home. If you are visible from the outside and 1) look underage and 2) appear to be drinking, the police may enter the house. There is probable cause to believe a crime is in progress.

That being said, if you are in a home or complex that doesn't get a lot of calls and is in a generally crime-free neighborhood, most cops will simply make you pour it out. Hell, most cops will just make you dump your weed if you are in possession of only a small amount for personal use. People get uptight about drug and alcohol laws in the US but generally speaking, enforcement is lax.

You ran into one of those cops that isn't going to let you off with a warning. I guess that instead of considering yourself unlucky this time, you should just consider yourself lucky all the other times.

hahahaha, u'r funny. i started drinking alcohol when i was 13. but u know what? i'm pretty good right now. good grades, good personality, i'm not an addict.

u gotta take everything in moderation. don't generalize. of course, if u start drinking to get drunk at 13, u'r life's gonna be a mess. a cup of beer or wine once or twice a week during dinner is not a big deal.

yeah your right, i wasn't clear

our party was crashed this sunday, we kicked some guys out and they got pissed and called the cops on us.

the female cop was pretty hot, and my homie smooth-talked his way with her so she let everyone go as long as we turned the music down.

wow..I dont know about you but if I live where black lives..then I would be standing outside of my APARTMENT COMPLEX / PLACE OF LIVING with a beer to.

If at 18 years old you can be given a gun , and was told to shoot and kill an Iraqi soldier , then I damn-well believe the kid at 19 years old can have a friggen beer. He already lives with a couple of roomates.

all these kids saying " your just drinkin to be kewl , getting high is for losers "
get your head out of your ass and stop living your life like your some fcking "truth" representative.

True that, and I'll tell you right now a Bushmaster AR-15 w/500 rounds of ammo is far more deadly than some kids screwing around drinking and possibly driving drunk. IMO they should drop our drinking age to 18, since it obviously doesn't stop anyone from drinking anyway.

If they card you here, you just have to show them your student id and they let you pass, even if you're under age.

Dude you need to just shut up. You aren't his parents, I'm sure he knows better. Who doesn't? I don't see why you guys need to come in with your infinite wisdom and try to change someone you've never met in your life. His life his decisions, he's just telling you about them.

yea its all good that its his decisions n stuff..
BUT if you post it on a forum, you can expect any kind of reaction.
i think its more fair for the people to post that black was wrong than for you
or black to post that they should shut up.

I am a drunken pothead junkie, but I don't believe I ever told somebody to shut up or not express their opinion. I merely judged their opinion, like they judged my action.

Lol I absolutely love how kids in highschool presume they've lived through more life-experiences than I have. You guys shouldn't be trying to give me advice on my life unless I ask for it, thanks. You've all got your own shit you should worry about before you go and worry about somebody else's.

And you can't argue that either.

Well drinking age is 16 here (beer and light alcohol) 18 for the 'heavy' stuff..

So i got a question. If I were to go to britain/america I wouldn't be able to drink anymore? And if I took along stuff from home would I? (Confusing international laws ftw!?)

Edit* Speaking about the laws in Britain here, not America.

You would, provided you were drinking with permission of an adult inside a residential property. An example would be a mother allowing her 16 year old daughter a few drinks on her birthday.

On the streets however, you can get pulled up for being under 18 and drinking.

Doesn't matter where you came from either, you come to our country then you agree to obey our laws.

On Topic

I personally don't drink, so I can't relate to the actual situation you were in when this happened. However, posting this on a public forum where people are going to reply with their opinions and then getting pissy about it when they do, was a stupid thing to do. If you don't want to listen to other people's opinions, then don't post it in the first place.

My personal opinion? Shouldn't have been drinking outside in the first place. If you were as close to the place as you said you were, you should have stayed inside or waited until you finished your smoke.

Oh, yeah, by the way, that's my opinion alright? Don't bother replying to me if you're going to have a go at me for sharing it. Thanks mate.

Billy, when you present your opinion on an issue you have to expect argumentation in return. What kinda world did you grow up in to not know this?

Let me say it for who knows how many times. I don't post on this pissy ass forum expecting hugs and kisses and sympathy from all.

If you guys haven't figured it out by now I really do like to argue every once in awhile. I come here to do that.

It's a simple fact of life: put forth your opinion and it is now at the mercy of all who heard it to be judged.
Peace.

No, don't get me wrong... responding to one's opinion with your own is fine, provided it isn't insulting. Calling people 'sheep' for voicing their opinion, why? Because they happen to agree with someone?

Oh, and Belgareth voiced his opinion and you called it 'stupid'.

Should respect other people's opinions, at least imo. Not everyone is going to agree with you.

I can grant that sometimes I express my opinion aggressively.

You didn't get it when I called people sheep. Go read it again. You took that in a completely wrong context.

I made the assumption that you were referring to people having the same opinion as others, therefore making them followers (sheep).

Was that not correct? If so, then I apologise, but I have no real beef with you anyway. Not here to stamp my own opinion on someone else.

what billy saying is right. By posting on this forum, you will get responses from other people and it will be both good and bad
