Sorry, but the NAU is not happening any time soon. If you look at the EU as a basis, how long did it take to get that sorted out with just their currencies? Ok right now Canada and US money are at par with each other, but the Mexican peso is certainly not, so who's going to underwrite that loss of income to all the Mexican people. What is worth something in their country would be worthless in the NAU. Next you have the legal system. Completely different in all 3 countries and if you want to see something get drawn out for decades, get some lawyers involved, when they try and decide which laws to retain good luck. An example is the American system allows for trivial lawsuits all the time (ie: I'm an idiot and spilled hot coffee on myself, give me 3 million dollars).
