Personally, I think you miss the point. Spiderman is one of my favorite superheros for the fact that he is a regular, kinda nerdy, not cool guy. Even an alien substance that could create Venom isnt enough to make him "cool". He's still a dork under it all. Out of all the superhero alter egos, his is the most human.
And pullmylink is 500X better than TV Links. All the links are checked and updated on a regular basis unlike TV Links. Also, the come out on PML before anywhere else. Its a good site to keep an eye on.

The thing with the movies is that they DONT follow comic canon. That's pretty much the point, it's an alternate universe. GS as a supporting character to strain MJ-PPs relationship and not as PP's tragically dead first love.
That said, I wouldn't mind a retelling of Kraven's last hunt with a tie-in to the upcoming Avengers movie. Kraven shoots and buries PP, taking his identity, after Stark makes his offer to join a group of superheroes, which is refused. Kraven ends up taking out the 'main' villain (maybe a returned Venom) and when Spidey returns killing himself. The events that go on here end up convincing Pete, along with a good dose of motivation from Aunt May, to join the Avengers, leaving NYC behind with Frank Castle to take his place while he's gone.
But, that's just a pipe dream as to do any of the storylines in that movie justice, the film would be 4 hours long and cost a few billion dollars.

It's called appealing to a target audience. They tried something so that generally all the teenage guys/girls will "like it".
And as for Venom, he didn't get that much screen time, because do you realize this... Spiderman 3 already had a budget of around 250 million dollars... I don't think it's MJ/Peter love feud that costs that much. It's the fight scenes, the CGI effects. More Venom = More expensive film.

so true. It's someone you can relate to, unlike all the other super heroes, and that's what makes him so appealing I agree.

Well... all the superheroes have childhood traumas that makes them "fight crime" later on, and being emo cry-babies sometimes... whatever i like SOME things about batman, and some things about every superheroe but everyone of them has flaws just like any person.
Btw, i lol'ed at the "old guy"-"only friend" thing hehe
i saw the movie yesterday. was a lot better than 1 and 2.
i think it was part 1 that i switched off as soon as i saw this
fake mean green dude on a flying skateboard on screen.
part 2 i turned off when this duds came in with some vacuum
cleaner arms.. part 3 was somewhat nicer. the bad guys were
less "over-evil".
saw batman begins for 3rd time or so last week. good movie.
but i cant wait for pirates 3
I just got done watching it online, and I was dissapointed with Venom I was expecting a bad ass voice then I hear just a normal human voice I wanted to punch the producer in the face. Oh well Venom is still my fav ^_^....just not in this movie...some of the sounds reminded me of grindcore pig vocals haha.
although i was upset he died.. im glad he died the way he did
really....am pissed of about Venom..i mean why even have in in the film if your going to kill him like that, i mean hes only in the film for 10 to 15 mins total and then dies...WTF they had a perfect chance to have spiderman stop him, but keep him alive for the next one.....Farking Sam Raimi has always said hes hated spiderman and heres the evidence of it
