If you actually took the time to read in-between the lines, with a scientific mindset, you'd be quite surprised has to what you'd find. You call us, believers, ignorant, which is highly hypocritical since you all just dismiss the Bible on the surface level without even looking into it further. Who's really being ignorant here?
Sadly, I never got the chance to finish what I was working on with the whole "Science versus Atheism" thread I made a while back. Things happened. *A girl*. And I didn't get around to getting my professors notes.

Morals =/= religion.
No other excuse really.

Moreover, learn how to respect other people's belief. How they think has nothing to do with you.
You don't need to follow a religion to have moral but since the beginning of humanity, the origine of morality has a strong relation with religion or vice versa.

By what criteria are you defining perfection?![]()

Don't live out of fear of hell

Yeah, and morality has changed throughout time. For instance, in the 1800s slavery was moral.
Well duh since morals are more or less based on a person's idea of what being moral is.
Just because something originated in something, doesn't mean it can't change lol.
Lol
Of course I would respect other people's religions, but then again, as I've beaten this dead horse, religion slows down the progression of society, more importantly, in discovering our REAL origins, not the ones people in the Bronze age wrote down in their tents.
Progression towards what? Plus that "progression" can hardly be measured accurately with large test groups considering a ton of alternating variables.
And @Barotix, I try to be tolerant, I really do. But when people spew out this retardation (we didn't evolve, god made us etc.) it angers me. It shows how the god delusion is a very strong 'uneducator,' for lack of better words.
Lol and you call the god delusion a very strong uneducator.
It is silly think you can call a delusion a regression of education, a strong one at that.
I'm trying to help you out!
Is the help needed though? Is it really help?
