each iceage we have had is effectivly the aftermath of a global warming effect caused by co2, ice samples from the last iceage have shown increased levels of co2 during these periods also sulfur and some other gasses, sulfur would suggest volcanic and seismic activity which we dont have atm at any serious levels least

Back. So I discussed this a bit with my gf since she's the weather person. From what the scientific community around me has been saying, and what she knows. She thinks they only manipulated the data to get more funding. A serious scientific offense.

For Gaige and others, the reason there's been a decline in global temperature the past year and it's getting colder is not because global warming was a hoax or over, it's because we are in a solar cooling period. So think about that. Solar cooling was a cause of the mini ice age during Napoleon's invasion of Russia. We have cooler temperatures, but nowhere near an ice age. A sign what use to cause very cold conditions aren't having as extreme effects, meaning something else has changed.

In short, both of our views on global warming is that it is happening. It's hard to gauge how much of an impact it will have because of how complex the earth's climate system is. It could be that we are warming up very quickly, but the solar cooling, el nino, ocean currents, etc. all have an effect that could make the effects of global warming diminish or be temporarily squashed.

One thing I hope everyone realizes is that unlike these normal climatic events where the earth cycles through different ranges of temperature and processes, the human one is not natural. We are putting things into the atmosphere that can't be made by nature and at a constant large rate. A volcanic or meteor explosion would cause similar amounts of large CO2 to be dumped into the air, but unlike those events, human ones continue for as long as we keep them coming.

It doesn't matter which scientists said what or which set of data was manipulated. If you think that's the issue, you are missing the entire point of this situation. For science to take place, there must be transparency of data and research to allow other individual research groups a chance to scrutinize data and draw their own conclusions, and possibly challenging the source of the data if inconsistencies are discovered. This is the issue here; research of this caliber should have been available to individual researchers around the world. Science that is based on classified or undisclosed information should be disregarded.

The only thing you're doing is arguing from ignorance while pandering to the tin-foil hatters. We can stay here and draw an analysis on all these innocuous emails and argue whether or not they were intended to mislead, or we could not be complete morons and realize that we'd only be speculating the context of the emails. Stop pretending like this is the only legitimate climate research group in the world, whose downfall will disprove climate change. Various other small independent research groups are researching this every day. To argue that because certain companies are profiting from this, then the whole premise must be false and a nefarious plan to get more money, is just plain ignorant. Healthy skepticism is always welcome and I wouldn't be pretentious as to say all research opposing climate change is pseudoscience, but ignoring facts and figures that have been researched by various groups throughout the years because you don't like it does not make it false.

It was detectable by others who were studying the same sets of data, but there findings were kept out of the peer review journals so only one thought of science was published, as everyone is learning it was manipulated data that was published,
