now not being a complete jerkoff i'd tell you to look at the bright side of things with the understanding that i know how your situation sucks. if you need something to get you through sit back and count your blessings; people rarely know what they have and if you one day do, own it.

You couldn't expect anyone to man up in a situation like this. You don't know the story, nor do I have any intention of posting it here on a public forum. Though when you see your parents so upset, and seem no longer in love. How do you expect me to react? What blessings are there to count? Sure, I may be better off than a lot of families as far as money is concerned but I would give it all up in a heartbeat for my parents relationship to work out.

I sort of agree with that. If the parents are being forced to stay together for the sake of the kid, then all it's going to do is create a hostile, awkward environment. Unless they actually try to work it out.

My parents broke up even before I reached puberty. My father is a very important man, and as such I never see him. Nor do I get the feeling he cares much for me. My mother mostly raised me with her side of the family, and my older sister who does keep in contact with my father, has helped out and mediated between everyone. So, I have no desires to inquire as to the reason of you're parents possible break up, but I can understand perfectly if it causes you pain and grief inside, I also will never mock you about it. Maybe when you're older you will grow stronger because of it. But I also know nobody wants to sacrifice their parents for greater endurance.. And we shouldn't have to. But sometimes things can't be helped.

The only thing we can do is endure and live our lives. You can still visit them whenever you feel like it I assume? But it will never feel the same, if they break up, you won't be able to hold them both in the same palm.. The only thing you can do is cause them less worry by becoming a man of value, that way you would have given them something less to worry about, and something good to look forward to.
