Come on guys, this is old.
Intel > AMD.
There's a reason AMD's processors can be bought from the change you get at lunch..

I don't know what the hell you guys are talking about, never done this before.I know barley anything about computer parts and hardware. But, im planning to get this built by 2009. I need the time to get the money, know the parts, practice on my computer etc.
Hmm, then I hope you pay the extra money to let THEM put it together, before you ruin everything with ESD or impatience.
I won't, I mean everyone starts somewhere.
Yes, but most of them, including myself, at least had some help during the first 2 times. If you don't take into ESD into account, then you can with reasonable certainty say that your RAM will need replacement within a few months.

Pretty sure it was the RAM though not meI should've read reviews on Newegg a bit better, seems a decent chunk of people received DOA chips. I was pretty careful about ESD though, got the wristband and did my best to handle parts by the edges.
Been there, done that.

Been there, done that. It's amazing how few stores actually know about ESD, and just pull the RAM from a plastic box where they're brotherly lying next to each other without any package around it. Those are the stores I'll leave, laughing at their faces when I tell them I'll never shop there again.
I liked how the guy at radioshack said "what is that a battery or something" when I bought my ESD wristband.
