I'm a dog lover through and through, so I always get a bit emotional when I see a dog being physically harmed. I've only witnessed a dog being hit by a car once in my life and luckily the dog lived.

If you care about your dog then it would be on a leash and properly fenced inside a yard where it CAN'T be hit by a car. This incident just shows how irresponsible the dog owners were.

Sometimes you need to give your dog a walk. It's an accident nobody wants that to happen.

If you're walking your dog, it should be on a leash. Second of all, if you don't see a car coming down the road that is not slowing down and you let your dog get hit, that's partly your fault too.
