Re: Any members here skateboard?
Ive skated for 4-5 years now.
When i first began, i just spent a long time learning and practicing controll of the board.
Then i moved onto tricks. I remember reading and watching guides to help me learn some tricks. Ollie, kickflip, heelflip, pop shuvit. But you know how annoying those guides are??!??!?
They just say:
"Ok so pop the board and flick the heel off to the left. The board will flip left. After a rotation bring you feet back down and stomp it down" < You know in theory its nice, but in practice that shit dosen't make sence, considering it all happens in less then a second.
Anyhow, i finnaly started to progress and by my second year, i was entering competitions and coming in not so bad positions, i even came first twice.
I dunno why, but where i live, you can only skate with good weather for like 4-5 months. Otherwise its either raining or snowing. So i started to take a break.
When i came back, i couldn't do to much tricks like before, so i just started to pick up hill skating <cause where i live there are HUGE hills, some that even go down to my house, so i became really good at that. Flipping off drivers in their cars as you go passed them is priceless.
So thats where i am today, and soon me and my friend will try freeboarding.

Anyway, I've been skating for 4 years now, more if you include when I was in 5th grade.![]()
I have an Illusion deck with Ozone wheels, Abec-5 bearings, some off brand stone trucks and alliance griptape.
Through all that, I still want a new deck, this is what I've been looking at:
