+1 judging by appearance is a superficial thing to do. I'd be a hypocrite if i said i didn't do it alot myself but even so i always try to give ppl the benefit of the doubt before completely writing them off. Alot of my best friends now were ppl i hated or avoided upon first impressions. Besides the only thing you can tell by how a person looks on the outside is how they prefer or are forced to look which doesn't really say much about a person at all i think any good psychologist will tell you personality runs deeper than that.
