Racism in Jena

native-americans didn't fight over race or religion they fought with each other for survival.....hateing ppl because of race or religion has nothing to do with survival ppl just use it to feel above others. Its not human nature to hate and be jealous.....there are still parts of the world where ppl don't have to lock there doors you know, there are place where ppl still get along and trust each other....

Jealousy and Hatred our products of the society we live in not something we're born with. Babies don't inherently hate or despise.

And yeah if you fire a black guy they can pull the race card but without facts it won't get held up in court. Employer have to deal with the same thing when firing certain women. When my dad got laid off cause of downsizing he didn't pull out the race card even tough the company he'd been working for for 23 odd years had purposely kept him in a lower position allowing him to train ppl to the point where they would end up his boss but never increasing his pay one bit. He had every reason to play the card and he didn't. Don't think a whole race will react to the same situation the same way.

Show me this place... I'm pretty sure the Native Americans weren't above hating each other either. I don't think people would fight each other simply because of survival, there's always something else involved. Land, power, whatever. And those fighting for land, power, and whatever, would obviously be jealous and possibly even hate their enemy for having something they don't.

True. But tell me where mankind would get if they had no motivation to be better than someone else?

I don't think one person's actions reflect an entire race's. You've seen how pissed I get when people see one dumbfuck American and say it's the whole country who are like that. You can't tell me the race card hasn't been pulled before though, whether it's justified or not.

The native-americans had no concept of land ownership. So when they fought it was purely for survival. Things like hunting grounds. Im not talking about south american tribes like Aztecs in Mayans im talking more about the northeastern triibes. And as for places where you don't have to lock your doors when my mom lived in St.Thomas she said ti was one of the best things about living on the island, not having to lock your doors.

Self motivation has always been more productive than outside motivation. Theres nothing spectacular about being able to preform your best when its a do or die situation. I couldn't tell you what humanity would be capable of if they learned to learned self motivation rather than waiting for the next war or major conflict to push the limits on change.

Im not saying the race card is never pulled but im saying you can't slam concepts like affirmative action and berate them because some ppl do that. White collar crime is preformed mostly by rich white guys but that doesn't mean you throw the whole economic system out the window.

My point is its unfair to say "That black guy took my job, clearly this isn't working" when the ppl can just as easily say "That white guy stole millions of dollars from my company, clearly the system isn't working" same shit different day but ppl get really offended when its a minority who got there job, they make a HUGE deal out of it. But when ppl embezzle huge amounts of money it usually gets covered u and ppl don't even care.

Wanna take a stab at who gets more offended when a white male gets the job? Wanna guess who makes it an even BIGGER deal? Minorities. I'm not gonna sit here and generalize 'cause there's definitely no place for that in this discussion. But when you look at it, when a minority doesn't get a job, support groups, lawyers, and every other legal assembly is there to back them up.

As was said before, if a minority was laid off, BAM! Headshot to your finances. People make it out to be that white people are the only racists, bigots, and discriminators. C'mon, you're saying black people and mexican people don't hate whiets and treat them badly?

When you say Native Americans fought purely for survival, I believe you are sorely mistaken. Granted no of us are PhD's in Native American history, I doubt anyone would object to the theory that they still fought over other things. Women, for example.

In response to the motivation point. Xemnas, you are always trying to get us trapped into the pit of "war." Motivation does NOT require a war. Was the light bulb invented for purpose in war? With self motivation also comes jealousy and hatred. How can you self motivate yourself when someone is doing it better? Outside motivation kicks in and you do whatever is necessary.

Reise is correct. Racism will never die. No matter how much you wanna purge ignorance, it will come back again and again. There will always be stubborness in this world. People have been hating eachother since they could think for themselves. If you were different, you were an outsider. Just a simple fact of human nature.

In the end it all just comes down to apathy IMO. Either you dont care its happening, you dont enough to change it, or you dont care at all.

Hmm funny thing is, after watching some t.v. last night I noticed how border line most if not all black comedies are.

Example: You know They Waynes bro's ? Every time I watch it, which aint alot lol I hear 'O look a skinny white boy' or some other stereotype white joke. I don't care personally as words are words but it's ridiculous to think they can stand there and make jokes like that.

Oh imagine if in 'Friends' someone made a joke about a black guy on benefits? There would be TOTAL outrage, yet on black shows you can totally go all out on a white guy.

My point is, there's a 'certain' 'minority' that is able to dish 'insults' out but when the favour gets returned it's 'racism'.

im pretty sure the 20-40 hetero sexual white males are the ones with the least problems, assuming they're not poor they have absolutely nothing to worry about. Go over the news sometime and you'll see exactly what your 20-40 white hetero sexual males usual gets away with...in fact they're the ones getting away with stuff in Jena......

God forbid they can't tell racist jokes, i guess they'll just have to settle with their better job opportunities, better living conditions, no criminal bias, and you know enjoying all the other perks the world has to offer straight white guys....dang and they were so close to being able to have ALL the fun :roll:
