^Thanks 0l3n! Gone. Never really gone, but never really here. "If Pac-Man had affected us as kids, we’d all be running around in dark rooms, munching pills and listening to repetitive electronic music"

Another way to say this is post rap that actually makes sense. Not that "shoulder lean" and "I wana **** you..." you know what i mean.
The rap industry has gone DOWN. Me being a former freestyler, I am ashamed of rap today. So here are a few songs that well...just listen to some of them
All these selections where SERIOUS selections. Even the last one.
there is and never will be a good frm of rap, it all for people whjo cant sing or just want to look cool talking on a microphone, and im glad the rap industry has gone down, hopefully that wll teach some of you how s*** it is

So, what you're saying is that you don't understand rap nor its background. What a great, and well-informed opinion. Now, stop being a jackass and actually provide a stance so we can tear it down. Or just acknowledge that you don't get it.

Reh Dogg? Are you serious? That guy is troubled. Not just because of that one song, but for all of his videos.
i play silk road wrote:there is and never will be a good frm of rap,
There are many forms of rap.
Alternative Rap Bass Rap British Rap Dirty Rap Dirty South Rap East Coast Rap Gangsta Rap Scientific Rap Hardcore Rap Political Rap Golden Age Rap Latin Rap Jazz Rap Crunk Rap Party Rap Old School Rap Snap Rap Turntablism Rap Christian Rap Underground Rap Conscious Rap West Coast Rap Pop Rap
And many more sub genres I won't bother to name.
i play silk road wrote:it all for people whjo cant sing
Rappers don't sing they rap.
i play silk road wrote:or just want to look cool talking on a microphone,
Doesn't everyone talk on a microphone to record tracks? Who talks on a microphone in music videos? Who doesn't talk on a microphone when performing on stage?
i play silk road wrote:and im glad the rap industry has gone down
It hasn't gone down if you said it never was good. There are rappers in Europe, America, Latin America, Asia, Africa, Canada, and many more. I guess they've all gone down hill too.

Ok.

Personally the rappers who talk about how "Thug, Hard, Ill, Gangsta, Crip this, Blood that, Gang this and that, I'll pop a cap n' yo ass biatch, N word this , I got biatchs n hoes, I do drugs, arn't any of those things they talk about, they are as fake as their lyrics. That is the only reason I dont listen to the rap of the late 80's and 90's and later. 99% of it is all hype and bs, with no real meaning, just trying to get "Their Gangsta Street Cred up" when in reality they are punk asses who don't even know where the word Gangsta originated . Old rap use to hav a meaning and was a way of protraying life in the gheeto and what not. It wasnt about all this crap that they talk about now a days, and no 50 wasnt shot thru the face. He is a poser and so is anyone who thinks he was shot. It was all publicity. Now rappers who really got shot? Tupac. How do we know he was really shot? He is dead thats how. few other rappers were also shot. Only reason rappers get shot is cuz they try to front how thug n shit they are and they try to bang a set in their lyrics. Also on a side note. Gangs are for pussies who can't fight 1 on 1. A few exceptions are the mafia, now those are true gangsters "notice that i didnt say GANGSTAs".
Also a side note: I am white, I am using "rap terminology to get my point across", I do not speak or right like that in any way, shape or form IRL.
So we're just going to assume all rappers are suburban white kids rapping about lies they thought up in their heads..
A rap song without "street terminology" is like a country song that doesn't include the words "truck, pickup, 4x4, chevy, ford" you see where I'm going?
Though it is true to a certain extent, I'm sure Mims or Rich Boy have never even held a gun let alone "capp'd a *****" but what do you expect from listening to these rapper's songs.
I love skillet. My friend gave me a CD that he made with a bunch of random songs that he liked on it, around half of them were made by skillet. Now they're one of my Favs.
Hard to find a good band whos music consists of mostly clean songs.

I wasnt saying the terminology was the bad part but its people who rap in general who try to front themselves as somee hard-ass gangsta thug G or w/e Which is pure and utter bullshit. Like i said before this pertains TO ALL RAPPERS! or at least 95% of them. None of the rappers today are thugs, G's, pimps, or Gansters. They are wack ass fools who support sterotyping of their own race by saying stuff like they do in their songs. They make black people look bad, yet they complain when the sterotype gets used against them. My personal solution to that problem would be to say, "Dont start a sterotype if you dont want it thrown back in your face" and I'll say it again 50 cent isnt a G, he aint a thug, he is a douche who grew up with a semi silver spoon in his mouth, and he is trying to play it off like he came from the hood and had a hard life.
You want to know what a hard life is? Go to harlem, and the ghetto, go to a 3rd world country and look how their people struggle to survive and live. Now that is a hard life. I'm just sick of all these poser rappers now a days.

Ya i like pillar also. Frontline seems to be their most well-known song
Here's an acuostic version of Rebirthing. Makes me wish i played voilin. As for now ill just play it with the voilin sound on my keyboard.
On topic: I like some of the rap beats, but i dont listen to it because i dont like hearing a constant stream of filth. somehow refering to the members of the female gender as "b**ches", bragging about using drugs, killing poeple. and cursing the cops doesnt impress me in the least.
That said, i would probably would like rap if it weren't for the lyrics.
