Better services yes but not neccisarily better gameplay ;) For they TYPE of game WoW is yes I think it is the best, but I also don't view SRO and WoW as even being the same type of game :)

Unless you're maxed level you don't do too much except grind quests instead of monsters, and once you're maxed level and spend all that time getting the best there was for that level they raise it and it's now worth nothing. I heard now that the only thing making horde and alliance different (shamans and whatever those other loosers where lol) is now changed as the new races are opposite -_-

Killing a million things and doing a million quest are the same in my book ;)

The "lag" was video lag. Gnomer is 35 i think you were allience no wonder you were bored. always losing the fights. the purple gear is still good during the next cap till you can get the purple for that cap. the SoS from one cap is even more worthless at the next. Wow has more Pros the SRO

Oh and slightly OT here but are you sure it's video lag? You can see some of my computer specs here: http://www.xfire.com/profile/squirrel1monk/

EDIT~just scroll all the way down ;)

WoW just seems like a bit too much stuff for me atm. Granted, its probably fun stuff but still if WoW takes as much time as I hear it does then I'll stick with SRO.....SRO is nice and simple, but I like WoW too :)

I played sro till level 72 quit and playing wow and i can say.
Wow is more fun for me and way better.
Atleast i don't get pissed everytime i want to login.
I don't get lag at all excpet video lag because i am using a laptop with crapy video card.
and the support is way better.
i am only level 38 hunter on wow and love it!!
it so much more fun.
The pvp you have to actually be good yourself. not only 123123123.
you have to jump, snare , kite for me as a hunter. slow you down with skills jump away and range you till you get close then do again.
the pet in wow is an actual pet no like the stupid wolf in sro.
protects you for real and my pet dose more damage then me usually because i am into beastmastery.
you might have a hard time with the graphix and movment first when you start playing but later on you'll get used and it's so much better than on sro.
I told anh_hung_rom when he was teaching me around when i first tried wow.
"Geez! it's so hard to move on this game, Used to click wait 2 sec's move"
for me wow is totally worth it!
and if you are going to play sro buy a ticket + monkey that's more than 1 month on wow.
I'm waiting in my cold cell, when the bell begins to chime.
Reflecting on my past life and it doesn't have much time.
'Cause at 5 o'clock they take me to the Gallows pole,
The sands of time for me are running low.

Can it be that there's some sort of error.
Hard to stop the surmounting terror.
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream.

@Deadly Eyes:

hahaha..
I'm glad you used to it. Been wondering where are you? Are you on Alterac Moutains still? If you're, don't hesitate to ask me for help.

Oh just got my epic mount yesterday. I'm kind a poor again but making money is so easy after 60. You can just quest and easily make 50-75 golds for a 4-5 hour session.

SRO is a p2p game, to access end game content you are almost forced into paying (which ends up costing more).

The difference between both, is not the quality of the game, but the multi-facet-ness of wow. Killing monsters is almost identical in both, the difference lies that wow has other things to do while you're burned out of leveling:

-A DEVELOPED arcade-like pvp system
-A competitive pvp system
-A crafting system
-A more stable economy
-End game PvE
-etc.

It caters to many different types of gamers. You can find hardcore pvp addicts that do nothing but BG/Arena all day, as well as the guys who know nothing about the game yet sit in AH working the economy making huge sums of money. Whether you're a casual gamer or a dedicated pvp gamer, there are different aspects in which you can become sucessful and enjoy the game.

The difference between this and SRO is that SRO only has one way to play the game, grind or bot to max level then sit outside towns and do rewardless PvP. If that's the simplicity you want, then by all means go for it.

If you compare WoW to GW, the same thing comes up. GW allows anyone to do anything at any time, much more enjoyable for the casual gamer. Where WoW has gameplay that is much more demanding, requiring you to learn to play your character and the game before you decide what kind of player you want to be. For this reason, I believe, WoW is the only non-fps online game that has players wanting to play at cap, rather then getting there and quiting.

Your choice, do what you want - but you cannot say one sucks more then the other in terms of gameplay, unless you're talking about SRO. Because, it really does suck.

I approve of this post.

And yes people, sro "is" a P2P game, it was their marketing scheme to make it hard to get past lvl40 without GT or other things (monkeys, astrals, etc)

Rainigul wrote:Why does everyone quit to play WoW? Why do they think it's better? Frankly, I've played it and it sucks the gay right out of Liberace's anus. The only way it's better is that you can log in whenever you want, and there're no bots.

Don't quit to play WoW, because it isn't good.
Anyways, the original reason I made this was to say, how is WoW better? It's graphics are terrible, I don't like the gameplay, you move with arrows/wasd but select monsters with mouse, and use skills with buttons (or mouse). It just doesn't work too well.
So how do people think it's better?

OMG! *Ignores all other posts to skip to the point*

STFU!

WoW is better than SRO on so many levels.

The quests are quests, not, lets kill 300 of these and get 14000 exp. Wow, that so makes me want to do more quests, killing things and collecting their claws. Boring as HELL!
WoW on the other hand, it follows an actual storyline, the quests are great.
There are proper professions where you can advance in experience and do more of harder aspects of the proffesion, for example, mining at the first level you can mine around the starter areas then as you do it more you get more skill until you can mine for more expensive and rare items.

Leveling is actually fun, it requires skill and getting to know your talants, not sitting pressing 1. 2. 3. 1. 2. 3. 1. 2. 3 until you get a strain injury.

The towns are real towns, with real people, not 3 small towns which have about 6 npc's and a shit load of stalls.

WoW has an auction house where you can list your item for sale, then other people can browse and buy your items while you can be out training.

There are group quests that require teamwork and many people in a group to complete.

I could carry on, but The Burning Crusade has just finished updating and i really want to play it.

And yes, incase you didnt figure it out, i have quit sro (almost, still go on to pvp) to play WoW.

It is such an amazing game.

If you want to try it you can get a trial which i strongly recommend you do.

From someone who at one point was so into SRO he swore he would never play WoW in his life...WoW>SRO

SRO costs me more money for less reward. There's pretty much nothing to do at the cap in SRO except go play something else until they up the cap and the grind begins again. In WoW, they don't raise the cap much, instead, they release new content and features. The controls are a bit weird at first, but you can move much more deftly than you ever could in SRO.
I'm in your posts, stealing your quotes.

Who cares? If you like SRO better than WoW, play SRO. Those who like WoW better will play WoW.. no need to come make a new thread on top of the other 109234 WoW threads just to bitch about people's opinions.
