Yes.

Each year, for the new year, people burn cars in France. The media tell how much birnt and next year people feel like more should burn, and they burn even more.

Just an example

no, its what their surroundings and how they get treated...thats what makes us violent....you dont see molestors just molesting. its cause it happened to them. Kids grew up with shitty family so their more likely to be more destructive cause of it.

If the kid is psycho : Games will affect em and you get an Amok
If the kid is at least a bit normal : its just a game for him, nothing happens.

I say no, cos the majority of gamers escape allday life by gaming.
Just look at the "what does gaming mean to you" thread:http://www.silkroadforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=29254

I think it can, but very rarely does it, i mean somone who watches violent movies has to already be pretty messed up from Friends/family to go and actually do it. I mean if your watching a movie and somone gets raped in it doesnt mean your going to go rape somone, but if their freinds say somthing like " Wow, wasnt that rape scene cool?" or somthing like that the person is more likely to go do that. same with music. these are just examples... yes i think it can... but not as often as people like to belive. anyways :D enjoy your day

the media is responsible for alot of the overall sh*ttyness of american values. .. I think when most people say "i did stuff cause i saw it on TV" they're just idiots who probably would've done it earlier had they thought of doing it before they saw it on TV. Most likely if a child is violent he will be violent no matter what. The media just gives them ideas on how to express there anger which can be good or bad....its like do we want suicides/homocides or Columbine(those guys were emo anyway but i see where they were comign from)

On the other hand the media is responsilbe for a very poor portrayl of Afican-Americans especially Afro-American males. This can easily dishearten the Afro youth and further sterotypes about a certain race which can lead to anger and mistrust which can lead to violence. If you live in america you know that when you turn on the news you can expect to hear "Suspect is mostly likely a large black male blah blah blah" the media should be more responsible and un-bias when approaching alot of situations. When all a kid see's on TV is rappers talking about how they like to beat up women and how great the drug game is you can expect them to start listening

i do not believe that it affects people or teens, or children as much as people think that they do. i believe that it depends on what kind of person they happen to be and what kind of family grew up in.
