Woman too fat to know she's pregnant?

Nope but i was at the hospital when my aunt had her baby girl and then again 4 years later when she had a baby boy, it was awesome. I got to hold them =)

Change them. Feed them. Waking up in ze morning when they cry. Stopping them from crying. The actual GIVING of birth. Having a baby is a lot more than holding it in your arms, and it looking all cute and stuff. :roll:

But seriously, who in the hell knocker her up?? And how did she not know she was preggo? Did she not notice that thing called a PERIOD not coming EVERY MONTH!? Isn't that type of thing important to a woman? If she doesn't even know when she misses her period, what other type of hygiene habits is she skipping out on? Her teeth did look kinda jacked up in the pics. Which leads me to the question...who in the hell knocked her up?

Read the article, said her period had stopped happening years ago cause of her obesity.

I dunno. Finding out you have been carrying a child for 9 months. What if she does drugs, smokes, drinks, or anything else bad for the child and unknowingly just really hurt the baby. Its just insane that this could happen to me. Scary really. But oh well atleast she went to the doctor. Imagine going to the bathroom, getting up and finding a baby in the toilet. I have to look twice before i flush from now on

This story is shocking. I immediately thought of this thread when I heard it. It's 1000 worse in term of mothering responsibility.

Woman gave birth on the sidewalk, then walked away, left baby to die. The baby is a 5+ month immature infant and they're not sure if it survived after birth. They, the authorities, are waiting for a report and if it died after birth, she'll be tried for homicide.

BTW, I'd lived in Oakland for 5-6 years.

Kids get fat mostly because of their eating habits and daily activities. Genes contribute (i.e. low metabolism) but that can be overcome with good diet and exercise.

If the child is obese at 13, hopefully he/she will realize what their life is going to be like if they keep eating that much and then start exercising and eating right.

In VERY few cases i.e. not enough for all the fat people to be making excuses out of it, some people actually have medical conditions that cause them to be that way.
