Discord is pretty nice. I like the idea, actually. Vent, TS etc. tend to die out suddenly, whereas Discord, which is more accessible (browser, smartphone app, software) and allows for chats at times when we can't talk.

Still think we should freshen up the forum, though, as suggested earlier in this thread

Yea, would be fun with more people playing the game.
I don't have that much time to play nowadays but still to me it would really be fun to see some familiar names every now and then.
I'm just a noob in PoE, just started again, but dom and 0l3n are beasts of course and can tell us the tricks of the trade.
But the game itself really seems as fun as it was when I first tried it a few years ago.
Plus they've added tons of content :sohappy:

maybe create a thread calling out everyone who's activing and ask everyong to point what are they playing nowadays and their interest, so we know if there's anything in specific we can reach for?

or shall we just make that discord server?

Tbh, if we'd start a discord channel I'd be afraid the forum would be used even less than it is right now..
I'm up for a shoutout, but I personally prefer chatting through the topics rather than something besides SRF.

Anywho, I know that there have been topics containing everyone's life status and jobs and etc. but I forgot. So what are you up to these days @IceCrash? :sohappy:

Then I guess most of us agree Discord is best left aside for the time being. In a way I was looking forward to the idea, but it'll be death sentence for this place if we make it happen.

So the next question becomes: how do we revive the place without the big boss' assistance?

I think we need more/new discussion threads. Threads like wins teh internets are easy to maintain, but they don't create any discussion, they're just content dumps. We need to instigate user interactions.

I agree, Discord is awesome, but it would kill the forum. For good (we can't let that happen!).

I mostly discussed stuff in the General Discussion section, so that's mostly why I don't create new topics these days. I don't really know what to start discussing in the off-topic lounge, lol :p

Your hobbies, achievements, events, politics, cool things. W/e strikes your fancy. It's probably ok to be a little spammy if it's for the sake of bringing life to this place.

An discord channel will do good for the Srf community, as discord is the new best app atm, for social gaming stuff...
