it's not about how many soccer fans you have, it's about the feelin you get from it. When the Netherlands qualified for the finals, the whole country was in chaos. The whole country was thinking about the finals. It's something most Dutch people live for. Like how most Americans love/live for American football or baseball.
It is known that the majority of Americans isn't too fond of football and that's oke. But I don't think you deserve to organize the World Cup, which is like the crown jewel of football, if your country isn't footballcrazy.
Oh yes cause of the tens of millions of people that watched the world cup didn't feel anything right?
i am sure if we got to the finals a lot more people would have gotten into it, we only got to what the second round and peoples interest skyrocketed. and if you feel the US shouldn't host it you must feel the same about Qatar right? considering they have never even been in a world cup before.
