If you don't need the harddrive space, you should get a macbook air. They just released a new model. It's about $500 cheaper, has an SSD, and is ultra portal.
The only problem is the harddrive size. It's good if you use less than 64gb, don't mind using external, or have network storage.
I added a 1 TB hd to my macbook pro and it's something I need, otherwise i'd return my iPad and get the macbook air.
