Avatar sounds like a new milestone in 3D technology. Some critics even go so far as to compare it to the transition from B&W movies to colored.

The current 3D movies we have in IMAX sounds gimmicky, but Avatar goes full 3D, mimicking the way the human eye sees the world - or some shit like that. James Cameron is known for pioneering ground breaking technology and pairing it with an amazing storyline. Hopefully, Avatar does not disappoint.

So you are saying that your HDD doesn't have a spinning disk in it?

Not at all. We can keep our hard disk drives or solid state drives, but the distribution of media, such as music and movies, through physical formats, like CDs, DVDs, and BDs, is in direct competition with the growing speeds of the internet. Some movie releases now even come with a code for a digital copy that can be downloaded online. Some songs are being released exclusively on digital format.
We have a dichotomy. On one side, you can buy movies, music, or games that are on physical format. On the other side, you can buy movies, music, or games by downloading them online.
I find the latter much more convenient. Leave the use of discs for archiving.

Yeah, I for one are one of those users who prefer having the physical copy of what I buy lol
So it all depends on how the buyers will think

I tend to disagree with online downloads myself. What happened to the days of going to an old, rusty music stores and finding your favourite 60's band on vinyl and enjoying it around a fire with a nice glass of wine?
I have a lot of fun trying to find albums. As bad as this sounds, I've had a lot of good adventures looking for old music. I've met a lot of new people, discovered some pretty interesting stores and even brought some completely random albums that had great artwork which turned out to be amazing. I like the thrill of walking into a music shop and letting my senses go wild. Simply logging onto itunes and searching for a band bores me :/
