Mainly I'd go to the past and keep myself from screwing up a couple things.

cant believe noone said it yet, but the past and making sure i never touched sro xD... all jokes aside i would probably pick the future because even if you change the future atleast you see new technologies and whatever but the present should still be the same when you come back, the past however is diffrent since it might change the present..

The past is so much more interesting to me. I'd wanna check out a lot of myths and stuff. Jesus and Mohamed for starters. Then check out Egypt, hit Rome, just make a tour around Europe.
Probably finish with a good investment, I'd have to research that though. There was some Australian company that went from like $1 stock to $260 dollar, I'd probably get that one.

I like to think that even if you try to 'change' history, it will come out the same. That if you try to prevent something, you trying to prevent it helped it, or something like that.
I don't really know how to word it other than that the current world we know will always be like this, can't go back to change stuff.
Which is why I gave up on watching Heroes, their interpretations of time travel and how it influences the future bothered me too much.

Just stop while you're not ahead :P

And woutR, what you're basically saying is what dom said at the end of his post, predetermination, or destiny. That something is meant to happen so no matter how you influence it, it will.

Some things you may wanna change in the past would be complicated since you take away your reason to do so by doin it, like the movie Time Machine, his fiance dies and goes back to save her but she dies again and always will, because if she didn't die he'd have no reason to make the time machine, let alone go back to save her. Don't think it would just make a paradox reality ¬.¬., but i'm not an expert, and no one is anyway lol.

But what if he built the time machine, went back and instead of saving her took from the past back to the future before anything happened to her ;d. Instead of building a time machine to save her, he builds it to find her I guess >.>.

Going to the past would change the present..going to the future would change the present as well... (because you will know things you shouldn't know or dont wanna know, and will act differently towards things..)

TBH, i'd want to go to the future though...just to see how life is..

I would grab a stick and start hitting you like a piñata.

Because if you change history, there's a big chance you wouldn't even be alive, or at the point that you wouldn't have got the best friennemies a girl could wish for. Kill hitler, go ahead, but then the world wouldn't be as good as it is now. Stop 9/11, but then there wouldn't be such a big fight against terrorism as there is now, and even though the world would still be a lot less scared of terrorism, we would all also be unsecure about all of it.

Then the future. Do you REALLY want to see how we farked things up badly in all those years?
You'll shit bricks. Imagine, having taken a picture of you and a fat person who is white as crap, fat, ugly clothes, ugly hair, ugly skin full of zits, totally crappy person, great personality though before the summer vacation. 3 months go by without you two seeing eachother because you're both going to a totally different place. then, after three months, fat person became handsome person, muscled, tanned, nice skin, better wardrobe and better haircut, though, he's on the inside still the fat, ugly troll on the inside you left three months ago.
The shock is the appearance that you get when you see the changed appearance of things while it's underneath it all your same thing, but things are farked up in the future.

I go for none, and keep hitting you like a piñata.

You'd still use the time machine, and btw, you'd meet yourself trying to stop yourself, as time would become a circle, your past self would totally have to use the time machine too because then how would you stop the past past self from doing that? it's a Farking vicous circle.

Time is not something to be farked with.

I'm picky like that, idk, it just bothered me a lot. I found it to make the story more complicated as well.
Just like Lost which was one of my favorite tv shows, but then they introduced the island warping stuff and I lost interest. I always thought the mystery stuff was gay. Why can't it just be survivors vs others clear and simple. It's interesting enough to see people survive on an uninhabited island while struggling to find out who and what 'the others' are.
I'm just picky when it comes to my tv shows.

as i said the more yuo think about it the more stupid it gets, but its populary believed for every choice you make even the ones you dont realise your making it creates another relity/universe this would also apply for time travel seeing as the choice to go back and the choice to take what ever action you do in the past or future would also create another reality.

thats why i think of my way of thinking of how time works is the most simple and easy to grasp

granted you could also think of it as every action you take was predetermined thus traveling back in time was suppose to happen and your action was suppose to be done.
