OT: Thats like asking me where i'll be in 20 years. I don't plan on dying any time soon though it could happen. The event is too far off to say. IMO its not a very good question because it doesn't specify what it means to be ready. I mean to some people that may mean accepting that death is inevitable. To other people it may mean being at a place in their life where theres nothing left to accomplish. Not very thought provoking, just a question that raises more questions and if that was the intent then well i guess it was a good question but if the intent was for an answer then meh.

This spontaneity is what makes life an adventure and not some boring drawn-out plan from birth, to adult, to death. Some time ago someone told me that when you die your life flashes before your eyes, make it worth watching. life is hard, enjoy it while you're young. but later on, if you're not privileged, prepare to receive a serious massive kick in the balls by REAL-LIFE. you need a job to get money, money gets you food and education, essential for the weel-being of a family. even if you like it or not, it's necessary to safeguard the people you love most in the world. i think it's way more compensating knowing that you're working your ass off for people you love other than just living life like a hippie.

The one specific goal I have in life is to have children, since this let's your genes survive which, from what I believe, is the only real meaning of life (and having fun living to the fullest ofcourse).

theres no being "ready" for death, waiting for it to come. we live our lives and thats all their is to it. we make dreams goals and we plan to accomplish them. death isn't something to embraced or feared, it simply is what it is; death. we live until we die. when it happens.. it happens. thats all there is to it.

After thinking about this I came to an conclusion. I'd be ready to die anytime. Since the things that you have done doesn't matter when you are actually dead. And i don't believe in heaven or life after death. IMO when human dies it just turns off like some kind of machine.

We also have our own beliefs to help with the coping; whether it's a monthly subscription to Watchtower, a weekly visit to church, or just plain old atheism (like me), we all learn to accept the truth about our own mortality. A person does not just seek for Death, they wait for her to appear in the forum of Alzheimer's, diabetes, cancer, myocardial infarction, vehicular accident, or even just plain old depression - only then can that person begin the final stages of his or her own ritual. It's almost never peaceful nor sudden nor honorable; often violent, messy, loud, chaotic, and undignified. This is true, but I've seen some very odd things. This happened several years ago when I still lived in Maryland with my father going to college. The college was right across from the hospital so on breaks I'd run across the street and visit him. Well one day I was there I walked into the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and there was an old guy who was coding (trying to die - not literally) and my dad was trying to stop him, but was losing. He worked for a few minutes and told me to go open the window. I was curious, but did it anyway. As soon as I opened it I saw the old guy's eyes roll back into his head and I heard my dad mumble something along the lines of it's ok, go. As soon as my dad said this the patient flatlined and couldn't be brought back. If there is such a death as a dignified one this is it, and to be honest is one of the most freaky things I've seen to this day.

Imagine how the world would look like if everyone shared your opinions. IMO I couldn't care less when I died, not that I don't love my life, I ENJOY living on this planet but we all have to face death sometimes and if I must die now, so be it. I believe we should contribute to our communities on Earth as much as possible, do good things, that's what brings true pleasure and a meaning to life. The spontaneous and dangerous stuff is also an exciting part of living but not everyone enjoy that kind of life. I like the mixture:D Everyone can interprate carpe diem in their own way, and that's my way. Contributing as much as you can for the common good and enjoying the small and exciting things in life.
