its rated R for a ton of swearing and alien weapons make humans explode into little pieces of meat.
I just saw it and I think it exceeded my expectations, very very nice. I hope there is a sequel.

Re: District 9
Just saw it yesterday. I thought it was one of the most original films I've seen in a while. It definitely met and exceeded my expectations. A sequel would be pretty tough to make but kudos to Mr. Jackson nonetheless.

Might be considered spoilers, =D
Lol! Can you say "prototype"?
The dude has like a Farking alien arm thats bulging out of his skin.
He RIPS his skin in one part.
Although, in most of the movie the action parts were blurry, which sitting in the 3rd row, made it worse.
I did not like it. The main guy annoys the living crap out of me. His stupidity+ him saying "fook" and "man" every other sentence= an annoyed viewer.
The beginning's foreshadowing was so obvious, it ruined it for me.
Best thing about it was the little baby alien =3

Well, then you're just missing the bigger picture and focusing on tiny, insignificant details
The plot was unique - it was just great and made you think
Such a great move away from traditional ET stories

Re: District 9
Its good if you like this sort of thing. Lots of blood and gore, with an amazing storyline. More of a documentary at times than a feature film.
Two thumbs id say.

Yes. You'll agree with that after you see it.

Re: District 9
Saw it again, and it's better the second time. I also noticed the play in subtitles that they made - both the aliens and the black South Africans had subtitles when they spoke. For the aliens, it's understandable they have them, but on the other hand, even if some of the characters from the latter group had understandable English, they still had subtitles. The type of footage doesn't even matter, such as the newsclips. There was one exception, but it still enforces the commentary - a non-black South African speaking in some foreign language.
Or maybe I'm thinking it too much.

Re: District 9
lol its not a horror movie. The action starts in the 2nd half of the movie. The CGI in the fighting sequences are really good they look real
