Yes.. My queenday was great but all parties stopped like 30 minutes after the car crashed. And believe me, you don't even want to see the photo's. They're awful.

My friend got hit today. I was happy he was relatively ok, but dissapointed to find that he kept his shoes

He's fine but his sides all messed up. Shoulders and hips swollen beyond belief. He's going to be a chiropractic nightmare for the rest of his life, sucks for him.

I have followed every bit of news posted on the bigger news sites at work.

Right now 7 people have died, and some are still critically injured.

It's not ALL about these deaths and injuries, to me personally.

Just the way this happened.. I saw the REAL footage on youtube before they put a team of experts on it, i dont want to go into details, but the pictures that you see right now of innocent people scattered all over the wide road laying there screaming for help and having big obvious and horrific injuries, is nothing at all compared to seeing how these people got hit by the car, and get scooped into all directions and just to hear the noise of all the people screaming out of pure fear right there when it happens.

Thats how I think about it anyways.

Jokes on this don't get to me too much, because quite simply there are jokes about every single incident just like this and thats just the way it issss. That's just like my opinion on the "kanker" word, which is dutch for Cancer, but here regulary used as a cursing word. You can't do jack shit about these statements and curse words, and you certainly won't be any happier if you go in on certain situations similar to what I just described. It will ALWAYS be there and it will ALWAYS happen.
I do think there are limits however, and I also believe that the jokes in this topic - generally speaking - might idd be a bit over the top, considering that there are actually a fair share of dutch people that like to visit and post here, including myself.

I assume this guy has seen the same footage that has been deleted long time ago now.

Nothing more to say, quite simply.

It's a shame that there will always be people who have no respect for life. More and more sick people walk out into the open carelessly taking other peoples lives. And who's going to stop them? You? Me? The Police? The FBI? The CIA? Highly unlikely. You can't prevent the unknowing from happening..

Now please don't get me wrong. I never did care much for the royal family, but I also don't want to see them dead. But now we had this psychopath who drove his car through a crowd of people who had no connection whatsoever to the royal family. I won't bother wondering what on earth could have possesed that man, but it makes me sick that all these people died or got seriously injured for no reason at all. I'm dissapointed and disgusted. I'm disgusted because all we have in the end is the concept of: We couldn't influence it, it's out of our hands, life sucks, and people like that suck and should die. We can't prevent it from happening. No matter how hard we try to we can't watch over our loved ones 24/7. In the end the only thing we got is our ability to adapt and tolerate. But a little voice inside me tells me that it shouldn't be this way.

But I guess it has also shown us that we need to show our loved ones we love them, no matter what. But ask yourselves this: Do we really need epidemics and losses to show us what's right infront of us? Do we need to focus on the crap in the past and allow it to dictate our futures as well? I still believe we don't, that's just the way I feel. If only we could prevent it many say, well I wish we could. But we can't and that's the thing that gets me. That people would rather choose the easy way, giving up on practicing their good gentle willed humanity. And now this, and for what reason? The entire Queens day got cancelled because of it. Now the next time Queen's day will be held, what will come of it? The army will ride next to the coach with tanks? The bad spoil it for the many you say, but I choose not to believe in that.. I believe in the fact that they will only spoil it if we let them. So let's try our bests to keep the mad people in the corner where they belong.

Because if this is all that they can offer, I refuse to bow my knee to them. And for those that have my number, I sleep with the phone on the nightstand.

All I can say is, worse shit happens every day. That doesn't mean this isn't horrible.
