Re: Watchmen
It's obviously the title of the movie which got xem's attention.

Re: Watchmen
I was disappointed with the movie over all. They cut out so much, and changed the ending entirely. They shifted plot lines around, cut out minor scenes which developed characters (would have helped make sense of the story), and changed/cut out characters entirely. Had I not read the novel, I am sure I would have enjoyed it a little more, though I can honestly say I disliked the actor who played Adrian Veidt/Oxymandias.

i think your both right and wrong but overall you're too harsh. Considering that watchmen overall is a huge story having to compressed into one movie takes alot of work so right off the bat you should be expecting certain things to be left out. I think the main problem was Oxy. Not only was the actor who played him lackluster but his backstory and character weren't weren't fleshed out enough. You don't really get into his characters mind so you don't really relate to what he's doing and why. As for the change to the ending while it is different i think it works just as well. Besides seeing the comic book climax in the theater would have 1. Taken alot more time 2. Looked kind of silly imo. Besides the Oxy factor, and yes its a big thing, but besides that i think you'd be hard pressed to find anything better to come out of Hollywood, it's certainly above and beyond most comic book movies and the parts that they got right, they got VERY right not to mention that Rorschach and The Comedian were just great performances.
in any case the book is ALWAYS better than the movie, that just always the case because books can taken as much time as they want and allow the reader to take as much time as they want. But as far as books into movies, as a movie this is one of the best.
