yes if you first mount the image file with deamon tools, you can
choose the "copy cd" option from your cd burning software. with
this, you can simply say, copy the cd in cd drive [F:] or whatever
cd drive daemon tools has, and copy that cd to the real cd drive
with an empty cd in it.

1)Wine
2)A Windows emulator for Linux. (for the ones who haven't figured it out : you can play SRO on your Linux box with it!)
3)WineHQ
4)Image

1)PlayOnLinux
2)This is actually a GUI that runs on Wine and is specifically targeted at games (hence the name). Although you can run the games perfectly fine on Wine I had to use PlayOnLinux to get SRO in fullscreen.

I haven't had the time to try it yet but a friend of mine told me this works for him.

Program is called Ri4m Ripp-It.
Also it might be that you have to encode your sound with Virtualdub seperately to get mp3 instead of wave.

EDIT : Direct download link : http://www.ripp-it.com/miroir/Lr9zKd0yWuWM0NxbVEVqtvzygLcGi7/RI4M_v501d_setup.exe
Thanks Draquish

No need in using daemon tools. You just burn the file on to a disc (select Burn Image).

Want an image file on a disc? Burn it. No need to go through the steps of mounting it on to a virtual drive.

What you just explained is a roundabout way of doing it. An image file is a simply (or can be thought as) a digital replica of the contents (the data) of the disc, that is it, it is exactly the same byte for byte--contained within a single file. Thus all you need to do is insert a blank disc and select the Burn Image option in your favorite burning software if you want it on a physical medium.

Can someone direct me towards some sort of program that can freeze a drive for me?

I've got a computer that generally fucks up a lot, but I need to keep some info for when I restore and reformat.

I have 2 on-board harddrives, and I'm looking for a way to keep important documents/music/files on there that I dont want to lose during restores.

Any help is appreciated
