For the many people saying religion is idiotic or gives false hope. False hope is something everyone goes through idc who you are. Religion is a comfort for more people than it is something to follow. When someone in your family dies who you love, who brings science into the equation saying oh well their gonna be decomposed by worms and several microorganisms and since we're living in say africa their grave might be robbed. Errmm ya i doubt thatll happen. Most people say "they're in a better place" because one its comforting and two some people believe that.

Religion is something that gets people through the hard times, not saying its something to be relied on. It helps people through hardships and even when a person has nothing and has hit absolutly rock bottom, their religion is still there and can still comfort them and atleast give them a second of relief even if its false hope.

Well, I agree with some things(+1 Towards Fiction) such as there are people that use religion as something to fall back on in hard times, and I'm not saying its wrong. Most believe you should ask God for strength. On the same coin, there are also therapist that can help with coping with a loved ones death as they go through the 5 steps.

My personal belief is that when you die, you do exactly as you stated, decompose. You don't go to heaven or hell. Now when Jesus comes back then it will be decided. I still don't believe in the whole burning in hell for eternity, I think this is a misinterpretation.

Well you're giving this forum undeniable evidence that you're uneducated. Evolution is studied over a long period of time, and changes in species are carried over from generation to generation via natural selection. The bad traits are left out while the good ones are passed on to the next. This does not necessarily mean that it happens in a short period of time.

It would take thousands/tens of thousands of years for there to be a drastic change from the characteristics of one animal to another. Going by how sedimentary rocks and fossils are found deep underground and measuring how old the earth's crust is scientists can determine how old those organisms are, this is only one of the many methods that the theory of evolution employs to better understand how today's animals are formed.

Simply saying put a mouse in a lab and wait for it to evolve is quite simply the most retarded statement I have ever heard, but then again my standards for religious people are set pretty low after participating in one these kind of threads.

You just said that evidence are what you can reproduce. Therefore, I use your logic, if you can't reproduce the evolution from ape to human, then gtfo, ok?
Like you said, it has to be a "visible" thing. I didn't see any direct visible evolution here beside a study of gene.
A painter may paint a paint A and a paint B. A and B may share the same similitude, because it's drawn by the same person and use the same style. You can't say that A evolve from B. But you can say that A and B are created by the same person/designer ie God Right because paintings are totally living biological organism, .

The study of genes show that species genes show some similitude. No more. There is no direct link betweens evolution and genes similitude. As said, species could be originated from the same designer, like the example of an artist who draw 2 paints. I don't see why you can miss that point. We have evidence that disproves creationism etc. Whether or not it does 100%, it uses the scientific method that is normally used to solve problems/answer questions. NS, you make very uninformed posts about evolution that show you have not studied nor understand evolution. That is not an attack, simply an honest observation. I'm not going to waste my time teaching you or feeding the troll, but I will leave you with this bit of information regarding evolution, a simple fact I'd like you to debunk. It is also on topic since it deals with evidence for evolution.

Going to keep this simple:

ENDOGENOUS RETROVIRUSES

ERVs. Endogenous retroviruses. Virus' that insert their genetic material into the germ cells of their host. These retro viruses are passed on and become part of the genome. There are 3 BILLION base pairs in the human genome. In the chimp genome and human genome there are many places where the same retrovirus is inserted in the exact same positions. OUT OF 3 BILLION possible locations there are specific ERV matches in 16 places. The chances of this happening by random chance is so close to zero I would stretch the screen if I typed it out. However, if you apply the concept of common decent, everything falls into place perfectly without ridiculous probabilities.

Disappointed. Gene is only a small factor. If a giraffe a tall, his offspring doesn't necessary be tall. The environment affects the growth. Fact is if your parents are small, they can have a tall, fat big boy when giving the best condition of growing. Once again, species may share similitude, it doesn't necessary mean they evolve from each other.

You keep asking about evidence. What type of evidence do you want? A photo, a video, a sound file or a story?

Uh yeah if a giraffe is tall due to a gene that effects reproductive organs, chances are they will give birth. Of course not always, but the PROBABILITY increases. Seems like you have no knowledge of genes/biology either? No offense, but you are coming off like you are uneducated in this field.
