Don't forget to use Small Icons mode if you want the "Circle Win Logo" to pop out of the bar,looks better imo :)

i still like the vista taskbar thats why i only used windows 7 for like a week then installed vista again. plus other things but i find vista much nicer to work with.

You actually downgraded to Vista from 7? :shock: We could argue on the Win7 taskbar style but Win7 has way more interesting features imo :)

idk just something about W7 that i didn't like. i'm sure that being my vista cd only has 32bit and my W7 disk is 64bit W7 would be the better choice. but i just like vista more its just..... vista?

Right click on your desktop > Personalize > Windows Color > Untick "Enable Transparancy"

Please forgive me for sounding like a complete know-nothing, but I desperately want a rainmeter taskbar that has purely icons. I can work the rest out, it's just I cant seem to find/work out how to install them or discover them in the first place. I'm very very picky about order of things and neatness, so having the hidden and irritating windows bar is very inconvenient.
Help would be greatly appreciated.

Most of us have rainmeter and that doesn't really make a computer start any slower. Unless you have a really shitty computer. I timed my restart with it off and with it on and the difference was only 2 seconds.

Can't say that but whats wrong with the classic Windows layout these days? And 2 seconds is ALOT my PC boots clear withing 16 seconds so 2 seconds is 12,5% slower. :)
