Immortality: would you take it?
Yes I would, being in prison? I'll try to break and since I won't die from getting shot if I failed I'll try forever not that I'd be there in the first place.
Asteroid destroying earth I'm in pain of suffocation for eternity in space, eventually I'll evolve and not breath.
The infinite youth and god mode of this immortality owns. Anyone saying no probably watched took those movies with the immortal guys friend dying and making him sad and blah.

no it's just a terrible way to exist. Me I don't like pain and I basically have no patience. Seeing as being immortal you will probably indure a heaping of pain and have the patience of a rock, I just can't do that. So I'd rather just eventually die and have no worries whatsoever.

Because of all the pain it will cause. Like in space. You won't evolve into a greater being because the body needs air to work and since there is no air in space your body will stop working, but that won't mean you are neccesarily dead because dead means that your soul will leave your body and go on. But immortal is just a word for saying that your soul will stay in your body forever, so that term about you being in space and still being concious is impossible. So in other terms it's like you'll be trapped forever in a empty shell, that is until you reach a planet that is similiar to earth, which will probably take 100s of billions no not billions but trillions of years to reach, now tell me that's not terrible.

...If you are not conscious, why should you care. Do you even realize you are sleeping when you do? No. If you don't belive in the whole soul and haven stuff, you wouldn't care if you are unconscious, dead or jsut plain sleeping. Again, if you have eternity you can get strong enough (mentally and physically) to prevent any bodily harm you might experience.
That kind of immortality is pretty good...you don't have to be afraid of death to want it, you could just want to know more.

That heaven stuff and soul is the original meaning of death and I'm sticking to it. Death has been misintepreted over the centuries to fit the meaning that peopls relate to. For example I think there have been some cases of the heart not working yet working again a second later. If the heart doesn't work the body doesn't work, but the person came back "alive" again. Is that death? So yes I think thing death means the soul departing and immortality means the soul never departing.
