tjhe high scores list is 500,000 so theres least 500k people play
and yeh, they win for servers but fighting in game sucks ass, takes like 5 seconds to hit 10
and sro dosent advertise memberships/gold etc on every page on th website, and every update isnt for members. gold buyers only

it took me 36 mins to download sro, so u dont need much patience for that
36 minutes is an awfull long time. I want them back
I myself never played runescape and I only heard bad things about it.

btw: random events are there to stop autominers, bots, so youd probably die whilst training and lose all your stuff

Hey guys, first post, though I've been reading the forum for quite awhile now. I felt the urge to reply on this subject due to the fact that I LOVE both games. Let me say firstly, I do NOT believe RS is better then SRO. Now heres my pros and cons of both the games.
Runescape:
Pros
Constant updates, many many great and unique quests
Feels more real then most MMORPGs, being able to do jobs and earning everything, many skills and the ability to do EVERYTHING on one character.
Cons:
Sloooowww leveling. Point and click is pretty much everything, though not unusual in a rpg I just felt the urge to bring up this point.
99% of your time will be either walking to places or sitting there watching your character mine or fish or cut trees for like 20 minutes, to walk to the bank and back over and over and over. Drives me insane.
Awful Graphics, had to be said.
SRO:
Pros:
Great Graphics with a free game even.
Lots of customization with your character
Skills points, I love how you don't just have staple level up get this skills like most rpgs.
Gold Tickets, Hell yeah!
And finally the custom weapon upgrades, Though similar to CO, still makes RS seem a little.. staple.
Cons:
Buggy system, I get stuck on walls all the time.
The "Due to traffic" crap EVERY MORNING.
All the bots and ksers, BUT Sometimes its even worse in rs. You to mine and high levels will steal your rock, and since it takes like 20 trips to make anything worth anything and it takes 10 minutes to get a full bag with people stealing your rocks and everyone calling you "noob" fifty billion times a day. Sorry repressed anger.
The fact that when monsters gang up on me it takes like 20seconds after I click before my character actually starts running has made me lose a lot of time and effort and quite a few of res scrolls.
