WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama says releasing photos of Osama bin Laden's body could pose a national security risk to the United States. White House spokesman Jay Carney says Obama has seen the photographs U.S. forces took of bin Laden after they shot and killed the al-Qaida leader. Administration officials discussed whether to release the images, but the president ultimately decided he did not want to make available graphic photos that could become a propaganda tool. Carney says the president believes the DNA and facial analysis proves the man U.S. forces shot was bin Laden, and the photos are not needed as further proof. Obama made his comments in a CBS News interview.
This situation gets fishier and fishier. There is no real proof that Osama is dead, or that his body has been obtained, only word of mouth. There was a video of Saddam Hussein being executed, but there's no video of Osama being dropped into the sea. The only thing anyone knows about, is whatever has been said from the White House/Obama. Now don't bash on me cause I'm skeptical about this.
I myself also have some skepticism about the whole thing, but ultimately I do believe he is dead. Something seems off about the way they are going about it though. They need to step up and stop being pansies about his death. They can give us details about the mission, but not provide a picture and just leave us to our imaginations?
Yup , fisher and fisher . It seems to me that osama died recently and obama knew that info and decided to take the chance of "killing" the number 1 terrorist in the world to get himself some votes in the next Usa "leadership contest" and set on the "chair" a few more years .

I wasn't implying that. I was implying that I believe the US Raid is in fact the truth of how Bin Laden died, I'm just saying it seems like there is some details being left out. Why would they now of all times expose a missions smallest details and get the simplest things wrong? They first said his wife charged and was killed and he himself picked up arms and fired at the seals. Then they said that was a mistranslation of him resisting and his wife was only shot in the leg. Then they said he was alone in the room.... 3 different stories. That is where my skepticism is coming from. I think it's possible he didn't resist at all and they killed him anyways. They said it was split second decisions. I just wish they would be honest about it and not say they aren't sure if it was resistance, or just impatience on the Seals part under pressure. Either way, 99% of people would do the same in that situation. Shoot to kill and not give Bin Laden the Option to Surrender or the chance to resist. The inconsistent stories is just annoying.

Im guessing the pics of osama have probably already been shown to the members of congress, since the likes of boehner and other republicans seem to agree on not releasing the pics & ignoring the conspiracy theorists. releasing pics on the internet would casue too much harm than good, and the conspiracy lunatics would just say the photo is photoshopped anyways, in which case they would ask for a video (and ofcourse say the video was staged)

lol so true. I went to work this morning a little angry when I found out that they weren't releasing the photo.
Then after thinking about it for a bit, I realized it's a good thing. This prevents the photo from becoming an icon of sorts.

They don't show any proof what-so-ever concerning Osama's death, and the disposed of his body into the ocean almost immediately after they released information about his death. I'm not saying he isn't dead though, I'm just saying that we, the public, know so little about this situation, other than what we're told, and we don't know if we're being told the complete truth or not.

If that's the point of view you're looking from, then I think they would be upset regardless. Why would they be upset, not all of the Middle East are terrorists are they? In some of the celebration videos you see from the US, you can see even Muslims/Islamics celebrating the death of Osama. It wouldn't shut conspirators up, but it would give people like myself, whom are skeptical, some closure about the issue.
