U dun think the Beatles and those kind of noops had studio's and edited/change their voices in there?

Artists now just hav stuff to make certain effects of sound, not just to edit/change the sound of their voices, but also do create certain beats, which are on popular demand these days.

People want music for clubbing, not to go disco-dancing.

Indeed. The Beatles didn't edit their voices. They sounded same on record and on live which is exactly how it should be. And if you say that The Beatles was "noob" you are terribly wrong since they are the most well paid artist on whole world. And not a single band/artist have ever broke their selling record. And The Beatles has been voted as the best band in the history of music.
