Why is it that of all the replies by Americans in here, all of you just defend yourselves strongly instead of opening your eyes and ears to see and listen?
You say im not American? You are not Chinese either, so wtf do you care or what rights do you have to ridicule the Chinese Government's Ban and views? They felt hurt, so it's racism.
This is incredibly hypocritical. You say that Americans shouldn't be racist but here you are making generalizations that all Americans are arrogant.
And people point out China's immaturity because no one else in asia cares about some stupid bitch named hannah montana. You don't see Korea or Japan banning miley cyrus in a tit-for-tat move just to "get back at her".
+China...Miley Cyrus must die....lol...if you watch the southpark episode about Britney you'll understand. *Walks out, enters den, turns on Monty Python and the Life of Brain*
This oraganization of asian americans seems pretty retarded, I don't think they even deserve an apology, was the picture of them making fun of asians or what? Was it to them lol, do they have any idea what happened or did they simply see it and think "zomg racist".
Maybe I don't get it cus i'm not asian, but I don't see implications of "asians suck, haha asians" or something.
I'm Asian too and I don't find anything wrong with that, unless she's trying to imitate Chinese Leaders or something, then you really got pwned. I am not Chinese, donno a word of Chinese but I just came back from China on a trip and I feel people over there just want to be left alone. They are actually nice people. Its like that new gun and roses album, Chinese democracy just stir up shit for no reason, they think the US entertainment industry is using the freedom to mock them whenever they want. Anyway, its all very complicated, but yea.. when you go to China, you understand the frustrations. Oh and that remind me, sometime ago that movie Rush Hour 3 was banned in China because the bad guy was Asian lol. I think they are trying to send a msg to Hollywood.
Guys...I think the main issue is that she's sending the wrong message out to kids who look up to her as a role model. She is Hanna Montana after all and millions of children in the world might get the wrong idea of such a bad example being displayed.
Imagine if kids in primary school start taunting every asian kid with slant eye faces, that's just gonna fuel more racism and bullying into the world.
Who's this up-herself-biaaatch I tell ya??? I want some PIZZA *mooch*

being Asian myself I can't help but had a little tingly feeling in my heart when I see the pic. But being banned from the country seems too extreme in anyway. Racist jokes are made everywhere around the world no matter what race you are, there's no escape from it, everyone is a little racist I think. Asians make fun of other racist as much as others do to them, just not so publicly. In this case I think the Chinese government is being too sensitive on such a small issue.
btw I would pay to see Obama do that on national television lol, that would trigger the third world war lol
Big thx to MasterKojito for making my sig

What's sad is that she didn't even come out and apologize. It's obvious what she and everyone else were doing in the photo but she just keeps making excuses for herself and called it a "goofy face". I thought she'd be a little more professional.

actually i appreciate that more. Nothings worse than when a celebrity does something deliberate and completely in their personality then apologizes for it as if they are actually sorry. Its like when Dog the bounty hunter dropped the N-bomb and then started saying how he didn't mean it and he thought he was black and he wanted to be buried with black people and blah blah blah...
she made a goofy face, she admits it, thats all it was and she shouldn't be apologetic for it if she really only see's it as a goofy face.

Even if she only sees it as a goofy face she should still apologize for that fact that it may have and did offend people enough for it to get this out of hand. If you're saying she's not sorry at all for any offense she caused then it shows what kind of person she truly is. Looks like I know whose music I'm never buying.
