As for Kisame...
Kisame sneaks into the Lightning Country hidden within Samehada and decides that he will capture the eight-tails, now that Killerbee's alone.
What appeared to be killed was actually a clone of Kisame, created by Zetsu. Apparently this was decided when (Kisame or Zetsu) previously conversed with Madara.
Lastly, Kabuto appears, but it's difficult to tell which country he is in.
He's finally in control of the powers of the white snake, saying that his body is finally getting used to it. He's killing off shinobis from this (unidentified) country.

Sengoku and the Blackbeard crew clash. A shockwave comes from Sengoku's hand. This one hit causes all of Blackbeard's crew to spit up blood
On to Akainu, it looked like Ivankov and Inazuma were brought to the ground, but I may have misseen it...
Jinbei gets pierced, almost hitting his heart, while protecting Luffy, taking the blow "to protect Luffy". Crocodile enters and blows the two away with a sandstorm, and they land on Buggy.
I think it becomes Akainu vs. Crocodile + Whitebeard Pirates
As Buggy runs with the forementioned 2, Law appears with a submarine-like ship from the non-frozen sea.
They crawl to get to him and for some reason he saves them. Trafalgar Law tells Buggy to give him Luffy, stating: "I am a doctor."
And with that, it ends

For me that isn't the case, problem lies in the series being too popular and kubo being "forced" to pull content basically out of his ass to please the hungry market. Aizen himself was an epic/decent plot in my opinion and what made the entire late progress of his development ( ~ arrancars ) suck was the fillers that took place during this time, is important to note that during this time the series was already pretty slow with the predictable-ish espada fights and the lack of new plot.

There hasn't really been anything new. It's like a very long boring scenario with no pop. I will admit as well that it's been kind of a chore to read it, but I'm hoping it leads to something phenomenal.

And No hollow Aizen? Bleach just got lame. I've been looking forward to seeing a Masked up Aizen since the past 100 years arc. They better at least give us a Hollowed up Gin.

I hate that Kisame is Alive. Maybe not as much so if they showed Zetsu switching with him in the Issue, but bringing him back after the fact of his death is dumb. Next thing you know Jiraya is still alive because all he did was sink in the water and he can summon toads.... Naruto and Bleach both seem to have some dumb plotting. The cat and mouse game with Naruto/Sasuke has gone on all of Shippuuden.. And when they finally meet face to face, nothing happens except a single attack and then Sasuke is gone once again.
Bleach just did a very stupid thing by narrowing all the arcs into a single event that is completely based on chance. Just so in the end the bad guy will be proved wrong like a common good vs evil story.

we've seen orichimaru and everything he can do...it was exciting in part one, a little less exciting in part 2, and his death at sasukes hand then rebirth and resealing by Itachi felt a bit contrived...i don't really see Kabutomaru bringing anything new to the table

Well Orochimaru was based on the Yamata No Orochi Japanese myth. Where he was slain by Susano-O (along with many other things taken from the story)
So hopefully they kept it to that likeness and he stays dead.. However If he doesn't make another grand appearance and it's Kabuto that becomes the next Villain it would also suck.. If they go from Madara, someone with extraordinary talent that can bend space at will to Kabuto, someone that was a lesser character before then they are just trying to keep Naruto going by all means and becoming a little desperate.

I'm guessing he will be used as fodder to show Sasuke's power when he obtains EMS.
