they accomplished nothing but passing the time in my eyes, meaning that they were bored. and how would you know how these people felt when they made it?

That is amazing, but you should see the rube goldberg machine of the car parts commercial they had in some country. google it. It uses every single car part to turn on the cur itself, its cool
