Fraps and Video format Questions

I want to know from people who are experienced with using fraps and making their own videos, Which video format is the best when the video is uploaded to video hosting sites(Veoh)?

Since the freshly captured video from fraps often has the size of 2.5 GB+, Is it normal? My friend told me to load the raw video into windows movie maker and save it as a .wmv file to lessen the file size but the video becomes too crappy or blurred so I want to know if there are other ways to shrink the file size without losing to much quality from the video.

Try Media coder. Or DivX converter.
