Over the last weeks, many of our players repeatedly experienced connection problems that were caused by DDoS attacks. The attackers mainly targeted our American servers. We sincerely regret the resulting loss of fun which all affected players have suffered. As a token of our regret we have decided to add 7 days of premium time to all players whose account had or currently has premium status in the period between October 1st and November 26th. We have decided for this period as we believe that this is the best and fairest solution for all affected players. The free days will be assigned on November 27th.
In the meantime, the DDoS attacks are still going on. We have already implemented a number of significant improvements, but further counter measures need to be taken to react adequately to the attacks, which vary greatly in seriousness and used method. Rest assured that we are still treating this issue with top priority. Our technical staff is still working day and night to make Tibia a trouble-free gaming experience for all of you as quickly as possible.
What is more, we have decided to introduce a whole new feature. Once the extra 7 days of premium time have been assigned, Tibia will feature its very first week of double experience. Between the server saves of November 27th and December 4th, all monsters will yield twice the usual amount of experience points! And this bonus will apply to all of you, not only to premium players! With this early Christmas present we hope to sweeten your waiting time for the update a little.
Again, we would like to express our sincere regrets for the problems caused by the DDoS attacks. We hope these measures will help to restore the faith in Tibia which may have been damaged during the last weeks. We would like to thank you all for your patience and the confidence you have shown us during these difficult times.

What about the 9,000,000 active wow players?
how about the 20,000,000 active lineage II players? we can play this name greater amount of players on games all day, but i gotta sleep dont wanna lose out on any REM
