I mean in soccer, they hug and shit.

Same with basketball. (actually not really, but you've seen the pictures of steve nash and tim duncan hugging or tim duncan hugging tony parker).

Then when you get to a sport that Americans consider "manly", football, they smack eachothers asses.

By the way, the only sports I follow are basketball and soccer.

what's there to discuss about? it's human emotion... when u score a goal in a world cup final, of course ur teammates want to hug u to death... hell the entire nation probably wants to hug you too.

besides, i'm sure these things happen in "non-manly" sports as well... (golf? lol)

I play basketball. So I still do stuff that some people consider "gay". But i mean many americans consider football to be the most manly sport ever, yet if they saw a guy just smack another guys ass regularly they would call him queer.

In basketball, baseball and football the ass tap is legal. I've never really liked soccer and don't necissarily consider it a "manly sport."
