Imagine...
A game for the Wii based on the 'skill'-system of the world of the Anime/Comic 'Avatar'(Wind-, Earth-, Water- and Firebending). So you'd have to bend using the Wii controller.
Now, imagine this, as a MMO. Yes. A MMO. This is what I'm hoping for the MMO's to go for in the, near?, future. Games which require more interaction and skill then bashing a few buttons.
Thoughts? o_O I had a whole lecture, but I forgot most of it under the shower ^^'

I've read a book where people would have a chip in the back of their head, and they would sit in special chairs which would connect them to the internet, where they could go to chatrooms or play a medieval MMO, which required real interaction and skill.

I do not share the same enthusiasm. Sure it will be different, but I get much pleasure from button bashing. There is nothing more satisfying then getting blisters from my fingers, or breaking my keyboard just to displace my aggression.
I'm not sure if others share the same experience though, but after weeks of playing the same game, when controlling the char becomes second nature, my brain looses the association with the controls, and I actually "swing that sword" or "nuke that target" and forget that I had to press a button to do it :/.

For me, that kind of association is impossible with Silkroad due to the limitations in movement and such. I can imagine it though, for I do have it in small ways with WoW

Dont think that this wont happen.. maybe in 4,5 years you will have it. Something like matrix but.. it will be hard to make all that games. Anyways there will be someone that will do it.

I can't remember what show it was on but there was this large sphere that the person goes in and can run around in and the sensors tracked how you moved and put that info into the game... You could run around and even do a barrell roll and such, they were playing an FPS.
Now that would be fun and would definitely keep you active. "Aaaah I can't go on my leg cramped up!"

I saw that one too. Didnt it start as a military simulator? But whoa, if we had that, that would be fun indeed
