Well, I think most of the older members of SRF would consider me part of the new generation of this Forum, considering that I joined in May of this year.
Now, often I see comments by the older members of SRF going something along the lines of, "Where are all the old SRFers?" Usually either implying that the new generation of SRF is just a shadow of what the old SRF used to be like, or outright following it up with another comment such as, "This new generation is terrible, and SRF is really going into the dirt."
I'd just like to know what's so different about SRF now, then it was before? Why do you dislike us so much, and why so much animosity?
(Won't be able to check this thread until tomorrow night, but I just want to hear your thoughts)
I donno. I think some of the newer srfers are cool.
I started browsing srf like two weeks before that one guy flamed the heck out of Xuchu and posted all those porn pics, and got himself banned. i was just to lazy to get an account till that 50 page spiritpower thread.
It's because the older members see everything through rose-tinted glasses. Honestly, unless there is an IQ test to register, there will be about the same percentage of idiots to useful members of a forum at any given time.
I treat everyone the same, whether they've been around for ages or not. I don't care when you registered. *shrug*
I've lurked here since.. Sept '06? And I joined in March of '07 to actually post a guild recruitment thread and didn't think i'd be posting here ever again
well, i registered in the old days. but i really played sro in terms of like 2-3 months, then quit sro and like 3 months later come back. so although i registered pretty early i have less posts then most of the people from that period
edit: thought i registered in Jan but it was in Jun, im sleepy and cant read

It's always the same on forums. It has a lot to do with the group-feeling at the start of anything, because then there were less people=less annoying ones etc.
And the age at which children get access to the internet is still lowering, and not all children are mature (not that they have to be, as long as they don't annoy me I'm fine ^^).
I've been visiting the forums since... the end of December 2005 I believe. Although I liked the other fansite more back then (the one Deacon took over but is now pretty dead).
Well always be changes on forum,Is more members now and more Flames /complaines and whatever if they are new or old members ,only no one dont BLAHBLAH to me ....
lol. Well, yeah, the community has changed but there's nothing we can do about it. This forums gets hundreds of new users a week. People change all the time, but people we're a lot nicer back then.
