Have FUN!! with my friends usually swimming or sitting at cafes

I'm married, have a 15 month old daughter, and a fulltime IT Security career. I don't have any spare time.

Actually about the only spare time I have is about an hour in the morning after I'm done getting ready for work. I usually use that time to log onto SRO and grind for about an hour before I head to the office for the day. Sometimes at night I'll spend an hour or so reading a book before bed. I'll read things like Harry Potter, Star Trek books, NIST Special Publications, FIPS Pubs.... Maybe a few times a year I'll get lucky enough to go see a movie.

Here's something fun anyone can try

Get four or five friends and start a barbershop quartet. Start singing in different tones about anything you see or old songs like Mr. Sandman or something. We really pissed off my English teacher....

Im really getting into Freeriding... for those that dont know what it is, its hasnt got a fixed definition. but in my words its a mix of mountain, downhill and trial biking..... only downside to it, is the injuries. my nuts are a litte worse for wear...

I practise karate, read some, more karate, go to a pub with friends, sleep some, play some SRO, go to a pub with other friends, annoy my dear mother, study a little for university (Japanese language and Chinese & Japanese cultures), avoid going outside too often when it's too hot (I'm going to move to Siberia later, seriously, too hot around here ><), and then go out with friends some more.

LOL. Well, your attitude certainly reflects your signature.

I play Select Soccer, read a few books when time permits, hang with friends, Photoshop, and of course, browse SRF. No girlfriend at the moment, although that usually occupies a part of my free time as well. Oh yeah, you know what a pimp I am. Girls just dig guys that can type properly and capitilize the beginning of their sentences.

i make video's... it's not like i don't want to do anything better but holland is the most useless and boring country you can live in. it's allways rainy so you can't hang outside. all the shops close at 6:00 pm all the bars and restaurants at 8:00-10:00. there are no things like disco's at all. there is just absolutly nothing to do. so i either make videos or play games

What kind of bar closes at 8:00-10:00? Seriously, man, who even goes to a bar before 10? Tough luck, man - I feel sorry for you, but I'm curious as well - is that some sort of mandatory curfew or something? Because I just find it really hard to believe that shops close at 6:00PM. Most of our shops where I live, and the restaurants as well are all 24/7. Even the fancy restaurants.
Or maybe it's just classic American ignorance?

What I meant was, is it just classic American ignorance that I can't believe that in different parts of the world, shops would close at 6:00? Because we have it pretty great here - bars open 24/7, shops open 24/7, restaurants open 24/7, that we sometimes seem to forget that not all people have that kind of luxury?

Different places, different habits I guess. It's like when I used to take German, they would talk about how they had their biggest meal (dinner) when we would have lunch. It may not be like that now, but it sortof makes sense to close a restaurant early if Holland did something similar.

This is not true. I'm as Dutch as it gets, I live in the middle of nowhere so early closing times should apply to my town as well, and all he said isn't happening here.

I think he's an undercover German, trying to make us look bad.
