touch, because if you lose your sight you have nothing else you can do other then touch. you touch things all day. i think with out touch it would be hard to live cause you wouldn't be able to even walk.

To all those who say touch is non-essential. Consider living without touch:

You can't feel pain. Pain is vital to survival. Without pain you won't know if your bones are broken, if you have an infection, etc. Thus, you never learn that jumping off a twenty foot cliff is bad and will end up crippled or dead anyway.

You can't control your mouth. You will have bad problems with talking or even chewing and will involuntarily drool. Also, have fun kissing your hot babe.

You can't subconsciously communicate through body language. No facial expressions.

You can't sense your posture or limb movement. This means that you will never learn how to stand or walk. Or ride a bike. You will essentially be a vegetable. If we say this is only for say, tomorrow, then you still won't be able to stand or walk or ride a bike because it will take longer than that to learn how to do them by sight. Ever play that game Lunar Lander? That's what controlling your limbs would be like.

You can't function when your sight is cut off. This is for all of you sight junkies. Assuming you even learned how to stand again, when someone turns the lights off you would fall to the floor.

You can't retain full control of your hands. This means definitely no typing. Ever. It's proven in the case of Ian Waterman, who lost his sense of touch at the age of 19. Even with full visual attention to his hands he is only able to at best clumsily control three fingers. He is able to write but it requires his full attention.

You can't rely on visceral senses. That means you can't feel when you have a stomach ache, when your bladder is full, or even when you need to make a bowel movement. Have fun wetting/soiling the bed.

Taking the hot babe example, assuming you got past all of these and got into "the act" with some lucky lady, you wouldn't even be able to feel it.

sight id give up touch + smell for that!

I'd get rid of touch for nothing right now.
Story is theres a National Wu Shu competition here that I want to compete in next year. Since I started late at like 10, I couldn't jump split my leg apart on the ground. Now with legs 0.7m long each I force push myself to do that, try
it I assure you the pain is sensational.
