Firefox has lots of really cool features (popup blocker etc.), whereas IE lacks them. FF > IE.

What's better? That's a matter of personal opinion.

Differences?
FF is open-source.
IE is made my Microsoft, FF is made by Mozilla.
FF uses the Gecko rendering engin for HTML, IE uses proprietary software made by themselves.
FF has thousands of free, third-party extensions. IE has hundreds of extensions you need to pay to use.
IE comes with Windows.

umm...IE has a pop up blocker, too.

Virusses affect your OS, not specifically your browser.
IE has tabbed browsing, also.

After giving IE another try, it fails again. Links that are suppose to open in a new window wont open in a new tab in the current window. I changed the settings etc but it fails.

MS, /wrist.

Come on, everyone and their mothers knows IE is a freaking trap for spywares and viruses... Which begs the question: why do you think your computer got messed up huh Ru Yi?

Safari is pretty damn fast. But the look, feel, and serious lack of add-ons can't pull me away from FF.

For as many sources that say FF is safer than IE there's just as many that say otherwise.
IE7 has tabs, not IE6.

Opera was the first "popular" browser to use tabs.

I don't understand why people prefer useless addons to speed, functionality, and usability.

I say: Opera FTW!

IE 6 has tab browsing I have it installed on mine, install the yahoo toolbar it comes with tab browsing, I hate IE 7 it sucks ballz.

But i've started using FF now, it does own IE IMO

. No more temp folder - FF doesn't send your download to a temp folder THEN send it to the folder you want like gay IE does *stupidest thing ever*
. extensions - FF has alot of extensions that you can download from there site that can help you out alot if your a web developer or just wanna play around theres alot you can do with it if you check it out.
. Sexy layout - well erm it looks better then IE imo lol. Over all FF > IE and IE 7 sucks even more, lol.
