Well I got my "copy" of Pokemon Diamond and played for a bit. Let me just say that touch screen controls are a nice touch even though it's seems slower than the old games.

I choose the water starter since I choose grass and fire in the first two generations of Pokemon.

My party right of this time:
Piplup (water starter) lvl 10
Starly (a bird pokemon) lvl 8
Bidoof (some kind of raccoon thing) lvl 9
Shinx (An electric cat by the looks of it) lvl 9
Budew (Pre-evo of Roselia) lvl 4

i'll download it when they finally get a working DS emulator...so hard to find a good one these days...but it hink i'll go with the fire one just cause he's a monkey. And to the above flamers stfu if you don't like pokemon then don't post anything i expected better from priam but making to flames on a topic that only had 4 responses is kinda pathetic on your part.....and btw im 18 and i still enjoy wasting time collecting creature and them making them fight for my love....its a god complex

I agree, somewhat. Anyone who hops onto the "mature" band wagon by saying something like "WOOT POKEMON SUX MY BUTT! YEEEAAAHHHH POKEMON FTL", has pretty much lost all credibility. The game is geared to a younger audience, it now sucks because it doesn't have the complexity or depth of the games marketed to the average gamer (who has, usually, lived through the pokemon fad when he was younger)

With that said, I used to play it, back when I was 10 or so, it was cool until they added a bunch of new ones. 150 was pushing it, if I can't even remember my own password to my email how am I going to...

On the surface I agree, the game is geared towards a younger audience, However, there are some stuff that there are towards the hardcore gamer like EV points and the swap between physical attacks and special attacks. (Thunder punch is now a physical attack so move sets have to be changed because of it)

Lol, me and my school class play pokemon every single class with an emulator ^^ We are totally addicted to it

I have all pokemons about lvl 45 and im nearly at the last gym ^_^

I've considered getting ds, simply because it can play both ds and gba games. Problem is, every time I look at the choices of games, I don't really see much that interests me. 2 or 3 games is not enough reason for me to buy a handheld that costs $120

I ended up getting a ds, and diamond, the game play is ok, a few things that are annoying. Overall its just an rpg simplified down to handheld quality.

Pretty far I think, just beat the one in the town with the Fly hm. Trying to figure out how this stupid egg hatches, doesn't do anything. ._.

i had GB emu for it, it sucks donkey, so does pokemon ranger

the old pokemon games are good, i still prefer pokemon yellow to ruby/sapphire

psp is mp3,dvd player,internet,games, i dont think ds can do any of that, exept internet,, but you have to BUY a browser for it

its £50 more than the ds and if you bought the ds and a dvd player, mp3 player and something to access the internet, i think it would cost just a little bit more, and i doubt it would fit in your pocket

Just because a game doesnt have guns and big explosions init doesnt
mean its the "best" game ever. Because ironicly it was infact the PS2 that
had the most under age games of entire game % per system of the
last generation. so please dont come here with your tired and lame

DS is the best handheld console at the moment as it has a HUGE section
of original games, were as the PSP is an overpriced crappy system
that has a poor selection of PS2 ports.

From what i heard this will be like Pokemon red and blue, and with the
ability to trade and battle online it should be cool...still 450+ pokemon

although the 2 screens on DS are confusing , when psp 2 comes out ( 2 screens and 2 analog sticks) im not gonna get it, same graphics, same software just an extra move button and some mrore glass on it

ahhh misinformed Sony fanboys do make me laugh....you do know that
around the world the DS is outselling the PSP 4 to 1 in some places, i mean
the only place the PSP is selling is the US, only because a shortage of
DS units. face it, the PSP has SHIT games...yes they may look better then
the DS games but they are SHIT.

they dont sell and as such most store dont even bother to sell them any
more + who wants to surf the internet with a PSP when your phone can
