Why would they?
Adobe has pdf, Google supports OpenOffice.org. Not to mention, they are focused on Google Docs & Spreadsheets.
Adobe has Flash, Google isn't interested in Flash development.
Adobe has Photoshop, well that's a damn good piece of software. I got nothing for that one.

Sure, Adobe is a nice, big, money-making machine. But you can't just go around slurping up everything all willy-nilly. There's nothing that points to Google buying Adobe.
