Bakemaster wrote:The quests ARE grinds. They are all kill X of Y monster. And they make you run all over to find them with practically no storyline and boring rewards (oh thanks an NPC item, oh thanks a potion, oh thanks more chips).
At least SRO doesn't have that retarded whole-game-stutter-lag, and it actually looks good instead of generic.
You'll be singing a different tune when you realize all you're ever going to fight are different color chickens and zombies and faeries and turtles for the rest of the game.
I have a feeling you got killed by a turtle and now your pissed about it. show me on the dolly where the bad turtle touched you. xD
Lv 34 Dual-Wielding Strider on Lydian... Outta quests. Got the retarded quest client X quests, where X is the town's quest client npc, gives that retarded random mob quest. Mobs can be between 4 lvls below you to 8 above. Wheee. I love killing things where I constantly miss 'cause there's some retarded "if mob is 4 levels or more above you, you WILL miss a lot" law. Even with lv 5 Concentration (improves accuracy), I miss 1/4-1/2 of my attacks on them. u.u
Grinding on the random mobs a level or two above mine is faster at my level than it is to do those dumb client quests, and run/teleport back to town, then run/ride around to three different areas to kill three different types of mob... annoying. "Kill 16 Berserk Finnedman (Sinking Swamp, W of Katan), 12 Hell Anatema (S of Random Lake in Middle of Nowhere), and 9 Corrupted Souls, (Pyre Mountain, N of Katan)". Or, I could just turn my brain off, kill the same mob over and over and gain exp faster this way. Whee.
Summary of Rappelz:
Pet system: meh, maybe ok if you spend enough time/money on it.
Grind: 'Bout the same as SRO, yet somehow feels more tedious than SRO's.
Economy: Crap. Can only get some equipment from paying $$$ out the ass. Many items you'll never afford in your life. No thanks.
Community: Mediocre. Random clerics buffing you, people saying thanks, no ksing really... then you get the asshats who want to PK you for no reason. Wtf's the point in pve and pvp servers when you can kill anyone you want to in the pve ones anyway? "Wrath" penalty isn't stopping anyone. Meh, balances out I guess.
Overall: Could've been a lot better, but came out just meh. To me, SRO owns it, sadly.

we have a guild called P0rnStars.
Ah lol he invited me to the guild O_O
Me and DR have made a guild on there now named Pure (Pure Entity was apparently slang). We have a few friends on there, and non-other than Hello__Kitty
lexies2 wrote:random pk? did you click the pvp button?
Nope. /pk off the whole time. Rank 3 comes along, kills me. His name turns red, but what's he care, since everyone in the area's Rank 2 and can't touch him. Think he mentioned being able to wait the penalty off in town, but I'm not sure, having never been douche enough to PK someone 10+ below me.

I downed it, played for like 5 minutes and uninstalled too! that has to be the gayest MMORPG ever. the animation is lame and the char movement is stupid i hated it on a scale of 1-10 i give it a -200

Yeah, 'cause giving an MMO a couple minutes is long enough to try the mechanics of the game and all, and actually I dunno, PLAY it before knocking it. <_<

Not a chance dude.
If, IF it had cool features i'd never play it.
If it was the last mmorpg i'd never play it.
It just SUCKS!

^_^ Never thought I'd see someone from SRF there
I've seen a couple of members on bahumut of the pure guild.
i played this game in OB then i quit for a while wen sro cap raised and now im back playing it again... In my opinion it owns sro, There are Gms and they actually come in game and even pvp ^^ they sometimes do crazy stuff like spawn high lvl bosses in noob spots. there is VGG's (volunteer game guides) which can help you out if you have trouble in the start. As far as the grind.. its very easy at low lvls like all games it gets really tuff at 80+ or so im told. They have an item mall but its super expensive compared to sro's. the diffrent classes make the game much more enjoyable and more interactive but if u dont like to interact there are some classes who can grind solo effecintly
check it out, its free after all =)

I got through about 10 more levels before I got sick of it. Grinding plichus and lafutels for 8 damn levels and not getting a pet drop. Grinding bone tyrants and ruined soul prisoners for 12 levels over two chars and not getting a pet drop.

LOL! your realy not going to get a pet drop unless you grind on pixies. As for me..once I'm lvl30 (which isn't far...) I will grind for a blue pixie and pixie dust(makes you fly!)
And besides....can DM dual wield? I DONT THINK SO!
