So do you guys tell people in RL that you've got a boyfriend/girlfriend - and just leave out the part that says 'over the internet'...?
Also, if you do that...if someone in RL tried to hook up with you, would you not do it on the basis of cheating? If so, LMFAO AHAHAHAHAHAAH ASDSDFGSDFHSFDHSDHTGHSGFH LOLOLOLOL.
If you DON'T take it so serously...then NVM, disregard those comments, and instead congrats.

Well you don't even qualify for the question. I doubt these two know eachother in RL. They probly live 2000+miles away from eachother. My question for them is if they actually consider themselves to be in a legitimate relationship. Would they decline offers made by real people in RL, mainly.
Peace.
well its not 2k miles and yes i would declineBlackchocob0 wrote:lexies2 wrote:nope I have one in RL and we both play WoWBlackchocob0 wrote:So do you guys tell people in RL that you've got a boyfriend/girlfriend - and just leave out the part that says 'over the internet'...?

You guys misunderstand. I know a couple who play Runescape together who met over the internet. They're now married yadda yadda.
Zero sorry, is it closer to 1,000?
And thanks for answering my question...however pathetic the answer is. But don't worry I know you're just saying that cos you know your 'girlfriend' will read it.
No shit you guys aren't AI as noobing said. But the relationship isn't physical, therefore it's not legitimate. To put it harshly, it's not real.
Zero how could you pass up the offer to date someone in RL because you're in a 'relationship' over the internet, a relationship in which you may be dating someone who looks and acts differently than they would have you believe. But yeah bottomline, you ain't boning your online girlfriend. Therefore, you're not in a REAL relationship. You're in an ONLINE relationship.

Hmm...siggie worthy...
Put it in your sig then, even though it was an incorrect thought sprung from misreading. By all means, it's sig worthy.
EDIT: Seeing as this is a congratulatory thread that I am ruining, I'll quit. You guys already get my unwanted and un-asked for opinion on the subject.
Peace.

where'd you get the idea it was only e-dating? To me this sounds like they just using the forum to get some attention from everyone (don't mean in bad way)

I met someone who spoke to their husband for 3 years by internet and phone, ended up being married. Its stupid to say its not a legitimate relationship if you don't have physical contact.
I would almost say that while they are harder to maintain, these relationships force you to see someones personality, and to just see that. How many people have relationships for purely physical reasons? And nobody can look at someone and see their personality. I personally couldn't pull it off, but if you can handle the long distance part of it I don't see what the big deal is.
You are not gonna meet the perfect people in your town always. They may be off in California, in France, in Holland, in Spain, maybe a few cities over from you. I don't get why people give such a problem to people who have internet relationships.
