This is old, but I saw it again today and still thought it was crazy.

The video is a demonstration of "Portal" technology on the Valve HL2 engine.
It is a separate game that will be made available in a bundle with Half-Life 2: Episode 2.
The physics are utterly mesmerizing (maybe an exaggeration).

The portal idea was origanaly used in prey, to be honest, that was the only good thing in prey, lol. You can get a mod for half life 2 that has some fake portals like this, ill see if i can dig it up.

for some reason all the the youtube vids i've seen today have gone in a few seconds (4 for plus44's vid and 16 for the portal one) and then just stopped and acted like they were over.

anyone got any idea why? i really want to see these videos

EDIT:

and now i try it again and the portal one will only go in 3 seconds :cry:

It's either our internet or:
In your browser options you should be able to clear the cache, or delete offline things, do that and it should work.
