I have windows xp and windows 2k on my machine, and I can't upload new songs from win xp onto my ipod. Any advice?

Yeah well i have around 3k songs so....recopying them would take a long time lol

I think you don't need to, just put them into the library, like you would do with WMP.(I think, don't quote me on that :P)

Unfortunately the only way to get music onto your ipod that I know of is through iTunes.

You *don't* have to recopy all your music to put it into itunes, though. When you tell it to search your computer for music, there's an option that controls whether it copies everything it finds to the itunes folder, or just remembers where the original files are.

If itunes is already installed, go to Preferences -> Advanced and make sure the box is unchecked that says "Copy files to itunes music folder when adding to library".

Then you simply find the music on your harddrive, select the files, and drag them into the itunes window.

Connect your iPod and it should show up in your itunes window. Take songs from your itunes library (top option on the left, "Music") and drag it straight onto the ipod (also on the left of the itunes window).

i dont have an ipod (cant stand them, sorry) i just have a normal mp3 player, with mine i can just copy stuff onto it using explorer. I believe there are programs you can download that do a similar thing with ipods. You might have to go searchign though.

omg i feel you !!! although my 4GB ipod nano is now full so i bought an ipod video >.> and now its at 50%.... kills me i put itunes on my moms laptop wich no one uses so its like my music laptop with about 9k songs... im estimating down :) i got skilzz
