[/url]Majorharper wrote:Every company has a different license you have to get, so I was licensed before when I was in Calgary, now I have to train for about 2-3 months so that I can pass an exam (not a written exam) but one that a certified Transport Canada person (usually in-house) so another dispatcher does a check with you all day. So you do your normal shift work, but the other dispatcher sits with you and asks you various questions during your shift, and also gives you simulated emergency scenarios to see if you know the procedures. It is an "open book" exam so you are free to ask your colleagues any questions or look at the manuals that are available to you.
