+1

That Brazil game was the worst I've seen them play...As a fan I'm beside myself in awe....I saw a tweet that read "Germany showed how collective structure and discipline wins over individual performance"...I couldn't agree more...German style of football is quite solid...And they've maintained their style of play over the years...

Brazil used to have collective structure with a bit of their own flare and it brought them 5 world cup titles....They've lost that style of play over the years...and now they're paying dearly...They have to revisit their past and re-connect with what made them so great if they wan't to remain the world's leading champions...

Holland is done... They have a terrible track record when it comes to penalties...Their best option was to avoid it like the plague...but they didn't...Oh well, nice try and hats off...This world cup final should be interesting...Germany VS Argentina...Old school classic rivalry...Who do you guys think will take it?...

They played kind of badly... too cautious :S
No offense at all. Every time somebody managed to get the ball into the enemy field the rest froze in the midfield leaving the attacker all on his own. Saw some pretty terrible passes too. Passes of like 1m distance that would be faster traversed on foot, shutting down plenty opportunities for an attack. Few attempts to ever take the ball from an opponent.

Even in the final minutes they never tried to score. Argentina went into try-hard mode in the last few and almost scored 2x. Netherlands just seems to lack this entirely :S

I guess they might've felt pressured for getting in the semi-finals...? I don't know but that was a pretty disappointing game :/

I think Holland lacks a number 9 attacker... Van Persie wasn't even trying and they seem to lack someone in the area to score.

Yet I agree with BuDo, saw so many fail passes.

I don't really like soccer... But the cup has delivered plenty of drama.
That's what I heard, anyway. xD

Did Brazil fans riot? I feel like the Brazilian players were on the field praying that people wouldn't murder them.

There were small isolated outbreaks of people smash and grabbing from stores...But what stood out for me was some people in the streets burning the Brazilian national flag....Just shows how much they love football over their own country...I love it..lol... :D

This is the first time I've kept up with The World Cup. I wasn't aware they played for third place. It seems kind of messed up since I'm pretty sure Netherlands is going to smack them around too. :slap:

Damn, it's no fun to watch when 1 side simply can't compete. It kinda reminds me of something.

They should ask different coach to Help them with their team. That sometimes can do wonders.

With the exception of 2 players this is the worst Brazilian squad in the history of the world cup....There is almost no coordination or strategic play anywhere on the pitch especially in their defense (which doesn't seem to exist)...

Even their own fans were boo-ing them from the stadium and you can't really blame them....I'm disappointed with them myself big time :banghead: ... Whomever hand pick these players should receive a savage beating...

Lol...

When you actually look at it I'd say the squad is very good in terms of individual quality...

Neymar (obviously), Hulk (inconsistent but good), Willian (very good), Oscar (very good), Dani Alves (old but still good), Marcelo (considered good, meh), Gustavo (solid), along with Thiago Silva (considered the best center back, questioning that now).

Problem is with their chemistry and tactics, otherwise they have a much better individual quality than Netherlands, definitely better known.

Too bad players like Ganso & Pato couldn't fulfill their potential.

You may be right about their individual skill...Their team chemistry is the worst I've seen this world cup...

German football is strong...I wasn't cheering for them but I can't deny their structured style of play...
